and Carnell Hawkins.
The flag football champion for 2014 is Team Chopnation, captained by Eddy Camara. The semi-final
game was an exciting 58 to 56 thriller between Chopnation and Team Leonard. Team Leonard took a
lead late in the game only to have Chopnation answer with a late touchdown to secure the victory. The
speed of Camara, Devaughn Jones, Donald Payne and Allena Pugliano were major factors in the game.
The passing and running of Carnell Hawkins were too much for Leonard’s squad to overcome.
Pictured is Team Celebrity All Stars, l-r, Kyrie Wade, Demetrius Laster, Shaq McCray,
Chris Troop, Brian Quach and Kristin McCarthy. Article and photos by Harry Miller.
The championship game
pitted Team Celebrity AllStars against the powerful
Camara bunch. The AllStars had no answer for the
scoring punch of Chopnation.
Captain Demetrius
Laster’s squad never quit,
but there was no weakness
in the game of their opponents, who had their offense
and defense at the top of
their game. The weather
was beautiful and the competitors were amazing.
Congratulations to all who
participated!

Intramural Golf Championships
The 2014 Pitt-Titusville golf champion is
Chris Fiely. Chris defeated Mike Willis
in a hard fought semi-final match played
at the beautiful Mount Hope golf course.
The match went right down to the very
last hole tied, when Mike’s approach
shot to the green went out of bounds.
Chris calmly hit the putting surface with
his shot and putted out for the victory.
In the other semi-final match, Brandon
George defeated Zach Starkey. Zach hit
some excellent shots, but the accurate
driving of Brandon was too much to
overcome.
Pictured above are, l-r, Brandon
George and Chris Fiely. Pictured
right are Chris Fiely, top, and Brandon George, bottom, taking their
shots.
The championship match between Chris
and Brandon was played at the cool and
windy Cross Creek course. A rain the
previous night made for difficult playing
conditions, but Chris’s approach shots
and accurate putting proved too much for
Brandon’s game that day.
Congratulations to our first ever intramural golf champion, Chris Fiely.
