Honorees
Larry and Sandy Post
We are privileged and delighted to honor
Sandy and Larry Post at the 2014 Festival of
Lights. The Posts have supported StandWithUs
educational programs for over a decade. They
have always deeply understood that college
students represent the future and have therefore
made it a priority to help students who care
about Israel to educate their peers on campuses.
In cooperation with others, Sandy and Larry
Post have enabled StandWithUs to send
hundreds of speakers and programs to campuses
across North America each year.
In addition to supporting StandWithUs, the Posts also support the JDC
(the "JOINT"), the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles, Cedars Sinai
Medical Center, MEMRI, Wilshire Blvd. Temple, Creative Community
for Peace, ELNET, UCP Wheels for Humanity, the Children's Burn
Foundation, the David Horowitz Freedom Center, and many other
important organizations. Dinner Co-Chairs
Bruce & Ellie Lederman
Naty & Debbie Saidoff
The Festival of Lights is generously underwritten by Ellie & Bruce Lederman
and Debbie & Naty Saidoff so that all proceeds will be designated for critical
StandWithUs programs and emergency response campaigns in 2015. Keynote Speaker
Khaled Abu Toameh
Arab Muslim Award-Winning Journalist
Khaled Abu Toameh, an Israeli Arab Muslim, is a
veteran award-winning journalist who has been covering

has been a producer and a consultant for NBC News since 1989. His articles
have appeared in numerous newspapers around the world, including the Wall
Street Journal, US News & World Report, the Sunday Times of London, and

Elon Gold
Comedian
“Hilarious,” “original,” “incredibly talented,” and
“extremely handsome” are just a few of the terms Elon
Gold uses to describe himself.
Elon Gold has established himself as one of the top comedians in the
country, having appeared on numerous television shows, including The
Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Gold is well known for his hilarious original
characters and offbeat impressions.
Elon wrote and performed on ABC’s The Dana Carvey Show and co-wrote,
produced, and starred in the Sony Television pilot Good as Gold alongside
television icon Mary Tyler Moore. Elon currently lives in Los Angeles, but
if he doesn’t get onto a hit series fast, he will be moving back in with his
parents in NY!
About StandWithUs
Committed, energetic, and versatile, StandWithUs employs a breadth of powerful strategies to raise consciousness and understanding of the state of Israel among key decision makers, the media, the general population, and the next generation. This international, nonpartisan
education organization empowers leaders and grassroots activists to
advocate for Israel in an informed and dynamic way. Our programs
include fellowships throughout the US, Canada, the U.K., and Israel;
high-powered missions; and intensive media skills and strategy training
for young leaders who want to represent Israel. StandWithUs also supports high school and college students and
community activists with speaker programs, conferences, and fact-based
materials; provides teachers with curricula; supplies American libraries
with resources; educates the public through a variety of Internet
resources and newsletters; and organizes missions to Israel for doctors,
bloggers, attorneys, and journalists. We have become a world leader in
educating through social media as well as through the production of
booklets and films about Israel.
Unhindered by borders, we reach out to international pro-Israel
communities, including those in North America, Australia, Europe,
the Middle East, and South Africa.
Founded in May 2001, StandWithUs now has offices and chapters in Boston, Chicago, Davis, Florida, Los Angeles, Michigan, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, Santa Cruz, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Canada, the United Kingdom, Asia, and Israel. We thank you in advance for your partnership and donation today, which helps ensure support for Israel tomorrow.
