The Fatima Prayer
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of
hell, and lead all souls to heaven,
especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.
Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy
protection, implored thy help or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence,
I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and
sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.
FOR ALL OUR DEARLY
BELOVED DEPARTED
The names of those who have recently
passed from this life to the next will
remain on the bulletin necrology for
nine weeks. They will then be transferred to the
permanent parish necrology, also known as the
Book of the Dead. Mass Intentions for loved ones
after this time will be printed the week that the
Holy Mass is scheduled.
Lord Jesus, remember especially in loving mercy:
Donald Bragg, Garland Barnes, William
Telscher, Joyce Manuel, David McCarthy,
Mercedes Mages, William Marx, Reverend
David Lee Patterson
and all the departed who have gone before us.
Stations of the Cross
The Stations of the Cross for the
Unborn will be prayed following the 6:30
p.m. Holy Mass on Wednesday, November 12.

It's time again to enjoy homemade treats
made by the women of the parish. The
Women's Altar Rosary Guild will hold
a bake sale next weekend, November 15th
and 16th following the 4 and 6 p.m. Holy
Masses on Saturday and the 8 and 10:30 a.m.
Holy Masses on Sunday. Cakes, cookies,
breads, brownies, pies, and other
baked goods will be offered. Your
support of the sale helps the Guild
to better serve the parish.

O God, source and giver of all things,
you manifest your infinite majesty, power
and goodness in the earth about us;
we give you honor and glory.
For the sun and the rain, for the fruits of our fields,
for the increase of our herds and flocks,
we thank you.
For the enrichment of our souls with your grace,
we are grateful.
Supreme Lord of the harvest,
graciously accept us and the fruits of our toil,
in union with Jesus, your Son, whose death, burial
and resurrection have brought atonement for our
sins.
In your love foster the growth of your Church.
Grant peace in our homes and salvation for all
the world. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Update
Foster Parents
There have been requests for information about taking
in and caring for unaccompanied minor children. If not
living with a relative in the United States,
unaccompanied children from Central America (as well
as other children) must be placed through a Georgia
state approved foster parent program. Anyone interested
in becoming a foster parent for an unaccompanied child
should contact Lutheran Services of Georgia which can
give information and help with qualification
at http://www.lsga.org/foster-care/.
2015 Marriage Preparation Expansion
We have big news for marriage preparation coming
from the Office of Formation and Discipleship. In
our continual effort to better prepare couples for
Holy Matrimony, our regular one-day workshops
are becoming two-Saturday workshops. We will
also begin offering quarterly Remarriage
workshops starting November 15, 2014. More
information on these changes can be found at http://
www.worldmeeting2015.org/ . We are always
looking for more volunteers to help in this
apostolate. If interested, please contact Daniel West
at [email protected]
or call (404) 920-7631.
The Women’s Guild Care Calendar
As our parish grows, there is an increasing need to
provide families with meals during illness or life
changing events. In an effort to better coordinate the
planning of such assistance, the Women’s Altar Rosary
Guild will be utilizing carecalendar.org. Currently, the
Donovan family has an immediate need. If you would
like to help by providing a meal for the Donovan
family, simply log into carecalendar.org, and enter the
calendar id# 192879, and security code 3042. From
there you can sign up for the day(s) that will be
convenient for you. Clicking on "more details " listed
under "recipient" will give you more information in
regards to specific dietary needs, likes, dislikes and
other information. Thank you to the Women’s Altar
Rosary Guild for providing food recently to the
Wolven, Gallagher and Bishop families.

2nd Collection Archbishop’s Annual Appeal
It’s something that we like to avoid thinking about, but
end-of-life health care decisions are important.
Families might not know what their loved one would
want done in a particular health care emergency;
doctors, not trained in Catholic teaching, might end up
making medical decisions that a person doesn’t want;
families might have to wrestle with who makes the
final health care decision. Georgia provides an answer
to these difficult issues with an Advance Directive for
Health Care (ADHC). An ADHC tells families and
physicians the health care decisions a patient wants
during incapacity, and it provides for the appointment
of a health care agent to help make any other medical
decisions. It is a legal document, and as such carries the
weight of the law. Filling out the ADHC can be a
daunting task. However, St. Vincent de Paul
parishioners are here to provide free help. If you would
like more information on ADHCs or would like help
with filling out an ADHC, please e-mail
[email protected] or call (229) 251-0039.

Women of Atlanta, our Priests need you!
There is a new program in Atlanta called
“El Cingulo,” or The Cincture. El Cingulo
is a group of women who have agreed to
spiritually adopt one priest each and become
his spiritual mother. We offer up our daily
prayers, works, sufferings, hours of adoration
and Masses for his sanctification and well-being.
One priest will become your spiritual son
and you will wrap him in prayer each day
and ask Our Lord, His Blessed Mother
and St. Joseph to keep him holy. Those
interested in hearing more about El Cingulo
are asked to attend a meeting at the
Archdiocesan Offices at 2401 Lake Park Drive,
SE, in Smyrna, on December 10 at 6:00 p.m.
The evening will include an informational
session, followed by a discernment Mass in
the chapel. After Mass, those who have decided
to make this commitment will be given the
names of their spiritually adopted sons.
They are to be kept in your hearts and in
your prayers from that day on. If you are
interested, please contact Diana Shertenlieb
at [email protected] or at (770) 428-0793;
or Marta Duran at [email protected].
or at (404) 210-7216.
