About The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, originally founded in 1881 as the ‘’Baroda College’’, is a premier unitary residential University, established on 30th April, 1949. It is the state University with English as its medium of instruction, having 13 Faculties, 3 Constituent Colleges, 2 Institutions and 8 Centers of Specialized Studies, wherein more than 37,295 students pursue higher studies. It houses 89 departments spread over 6 campuses (2 rural and 4 urban) covering 275 acres of land including a built up area of 418500 sq. mt. There are 16 hostels which accommodates about 4103 students. About CTE The Council for Teacher Education, Gujarat Chapter (CTEG) established under the first presidentialship of Dr. B. P. Lulla under the umbrella of Council for Teacher Education, India. Since 2008 CTEG is functioning under dynamic leadership of Prof. R. G. Kothari and trying its level best to fulfil the objectives of CTE, India as well. Various programmes for professional development of teachers like Seminars, Workshops, Training programmes, Publication of Books are part of CTEG. MSVSS started its activities for the welfare of teachers at all level of education, from primary to tertiary level from the year 2004. The aim behind these activities is to safeguard the interests of the teachers, to build an environment conducive for growth of a holistic educational culture in Baroda. The year 2006 proved to be a landmark as MSVSS formally came into existence. MSVSS has been frequently organizing programmes regarding the awareness of the teachers, students and the society at large.
