Assist with Financial Management:  Use computer software to prepare invoices and financial statements  In charge of the accounts payable (verification of supplier invoices, matching invoices with purchase orders, preparation of purchase orders, preparation of payments to suppliers, correspondence and reconciliation of supplier’s statements) including all travel expenses;  In charge of accounts receivable (preparation of invoices, recording, collection, correspondence with clients);  Will be in charge of the staff payroll, all remittances to various agencies, and all related tasks on the payroll such as issuing of ROE, T4s, etc. Code and file financial material according to established records management procedures;  Assist with budget preparation and financial reports as required;  Administer petty cash according to established procedures;  File accounting correspondence;  Ensure cheques are in numerical sequence for bank reconciliations;  Prepare accurate bank reconciliations and deposits;  Month end duties as required. Provide Board Support  Set up and coordinate meetings and conferences;  Assist in meeting preparation and supporting material for distribution;  Ensure the timely distribution of material to the Board;  Support the Board with meeting, travel and other arrangements;  Draft minutes of Board meetings for review by the Executive Committee. Employment Requirements:  Must meet funding requirements;  Minimum secondary school or certification in secretarial field. Post‐secondary education in business, computers, or office management is an asset;  Knowledge of Microsoft Office, telephone and email protocols;  Abilities and Skills: Good reading, writing and numeracy skills required. Ability to work independently and proven capacity to plan and work efficiently. Interpersonal relationship skills and ability to interact positively with people in general. Ability to NETWORK and collaborate in a friendly MATTER. Ability to communicate in Cree and English languages. Understanding of the French language, both oral and written, is an asset;  Other Characteristics: Must enjoy travelling to planned meetings and be dedicated to the cause of Cree Women;  Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
