Personal Message from our Principal, Sister Gail Morgan:
We are continuing to collect pledges and contributions for our Walkathon.
We have received more than 82% of the school goal of $140,000. All donations
should be received by October 30th to qualify for incentive prizes and to merit a
FREE DAY!! Thank you for your help and support in this fundraising effort.
Congratulations to the Ferrer Volleyball Team. The Falcons completed a very
successful regular season. The Volleyball team will compete in their first
Play-Off Tournament game on Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Congratulations to the Ferrer Soccer Team. During this, our first season
participating in an official CHSAA league, the team is currently undefeated. They
will be participating in the City Championship against Brooklyn/Queens on Nov. 5.
for your help with Open House on October 18th. We had a very successful
day as more than 1200 visitors toured the school.

The Parent Association is sponsoring this event . Families received the
invitation in the mail at the end of September. Please send in your
reservations for this very enjoyable afternoon.

PARENT WELCOME SOCIAL
The Parent Association is also sponsoring this event from 6:00 pm— 8:00 pm in
the Lower Church. Do not forget to send in your reservation and you
raffle tickets.
Thursday, October 30:
JUNIOR/FRESHMEN WELCOME
The Juniors will welcome their Freshmen Sisters. Students in both
classes will receive additional information in their homerooms.

FACULTY IN SERVICE DAY
School will not be in session

Students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm

The Parent Association will meet at 6:30 pm in the Lower Church. All parents are
welcome and encouraged to attend the meeting.

The first grading period ends. Please continue following your daughter’s
progress by logging onto the Parent Portal of the school website. If you
cannot access your account, please contact Dr. Kumar.

Saint Vincent Ferrer High School is a testing site for the TACHS high school admissions test. Classes for our students
are as follows: Grades 9 & 10:

Classes ARE in session—Dismissal is at 1:15 pm

CLASS RING ORDERS
Representatives from the Class Ring company will be at Ferrer to receive orders from the Juniors for
their class rings. Juniors and Junior parents are asked to refer to the letter included with this mailing.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Report cards will be distributed to the parents between 3:00 pm—6:00 pm. Teachers will be available
for parent/teacher conferences during the same time. Parents are encouraged to meet with the teachers
to discuss their daughter’s progress in the classes.
Thursday, November 13 & Friday, November 14: EARLY DISMISSAL
To facilitate parent/teacher conference schedules, students will be dismissed at 1:00 pm on both days

REPORT CARD RELEASE
If parents are unable to pick up their daughter’s report card at the designated time, parents are asked to
write a letter granting permission to release the report card to the student. These requests will not be
honored until November 14th.

TUITION PAYMENT
Payment is due for all families who selected the monthly tuition payment plan.
Students are asked to turn in the tuition payment to the Business Office.
Monday, November 17:
FINANCIAL PLANNING MEETING
The school is hosting this meeting from 7:00 pm—8:30 pm in the Lower Church. A financial planner will
make the presentation and give you information on how to plan for the expenses of a college education
for your children. All parents in all grades are welcome and encouraged to attend this informative meeting.
A letter further explaining the meting will be sent to you the first week in November.
Tuesday, November 18:
SOPHOMORE RETREAT
The Sophomores will attend their annual school retreat. Sophomores will receive additional information about the
retreat during the week of November 10th.
Saturday, November 22:
FAMILY VOLUNTEER DAY
The Parents Association is sponsoring this event. Parents and other family members are encouraged to
join their daughters in a service opportunity. Options for the service sites are included in this mailing.

OVERNIGHT RETREAT
Saint Vincent Ferrer Parish will provide this retreat for our students. Additional information about the retreat will be
provided to the students through the Campus Ministers.
Tuesday, November 25:
THANKSGIVING LITURGY
We will celebrate our Thanksgiving Liturgy at 1:15 pm in the Church. Students will be
dismissed for the Thanksgiving holiday at approximately 2:30 pm. All parents are
invited to this event.
