Additional University Pathway Options Credit towards the following degree programs is available to graduates of the Diploma. Students must apply for University entry through QTAC, and on admission they can then apply to the University for pre-negotiated academic credits of up to 12 months. • Bachelor of Design, Griffith University • Bachelor of Fine Arts (Interactive and Visual Design), Queensland University of Technology Diploma graduates will receive a minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 82 (OP equivalent 10). QUT and Griffith University will give 5 bonus rank points bringing a graduate's TER to 87 (OP equivalent 8). This qualification is eligible for the Commonwealth VET FEE-HELP loan scheme. Entry requirements Recommended entry requirements are indicative of a participant's success in the course. School leavers must have completed Year 12 or equivalent (pass standard in English and Art); AND Submit a folio/interview; OR Have relevant industry experience/employment. Ideally, you will need to have a reasonable working knowledge of the PC Windows or Mac environment. Both platforms are used, however the industry standard is the Mac platform. Required computer literacy skills include: Being able to logically organise work files in directories or computer files; Knowing how to make a file, save a file, and find it again; Using the internet to find information, send emails, open and save attachments and pictures; Simple text skills - for example, typing up an assignment with basic formatting and printing it out; Resolve minor application problems through the use of the help menu.
