Fishery Reports
Beaver Fishery Lingfield, Surrey
Adrian Garwood - 50lb - Tuscany Lake
Please note that our pike season is now open until 31st March. With the wetter weather coming
the fishing has slowed down a bit this month but there have been some good catches on all of
our lakes and ponds.
SNIPE LAKE - Plenty of carp out to just under 30lb this month with Craig Mitchell landing a 29lb
4oz common, Kevin Dent landing a 28lb 4oz mirror and Dean Jackson was back and catching
carp to 29lb 9oz. Joe Dolling had a lovely 17lb 4oz mirror and Joshua Raggett had a 19lb
common. Darren Holmes landed a 21lb 2oz common and Toby Claydon had his 1st ever koi at
11lb. As for the cats, they have been a tad quiet but there was some nice ones banked. As well
as Toby’s 1st ever koi, he landed his PB cat at 22lb. Joshua Raggett added to his carp with a
10lb cat, Jason Day had a cat at 22lb 8oz, Jason Naylor had 2 cats out at 20lb and 34lb and
Mark Gillingham had a nice cat at 37lb 2oz.
TUSCANY LAKE - has not seen too many anglers on the bank but those who fished had some
good results. Leo De Burriatte had a 16lb common and a 24lb catfish, Simon Wright had a few
cats out at 15lb, 16lb and 29lb. Peter Thompson got amongst the carp with a good session
landing 2 commons to 22lb and a mirror at 24lb. Stephen Grayson had 2 ghosties out weighing
19lb and 18lb 6oz and Nigel Barrow managed to stalk a few out to just under 20lb too. The pick
of the bunch though was Adrian Garwood who landed 2 cats in quick succession weighing in at
50lb and 52lb, well done Adrian.
JEFFS LAKE - continues to produce fish on a constant basis with tench being caught to 8lb,
bream to 6lb and carp ranging from 1lb to 7lb and with the new aeration fountain we are sure it
will be the first port of call for pleasure anglers throughout the winter months. Jeffs Lake also saw
the grand finale of our open matches this month with Paul Vickery taking 1st place, Mick Hull
taking 2nd and Mark Smith taking 3rd. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Gardner
Tackle, County Groundbaits, Grand Tour tackle and W.S.B tackle for their generosity in providing
the raffle prizes and match sponsorship.
MAJORS LAKE - holds a good head of pike and the pike season is now open, please be aware
we do not allow barbed hooks or trebles, single or double hooks only. We have had some good
pike out already, Michael Moore had a fantastic session landing 9 pike to 16lb 4oz, Mark Taylor
had a cracking pike at 16lb 2oz, Bobby Verne had 4 pike out all weighing more than 12lb with
the biggest being 16lb 1oz and Aaron Wareing and his Dad had a good time landing a few pike
out to low doubles, other fish have been gracing the bank too with Philip Thorne getting a PB
common at 16lb, John Fitzpatrick had a
fantastic tench at 8lb and there have been
crucians out to 3lb 6oz. Mark Glasier had a good
session for the carp landing 4 from 12lb to 18lb
and Damian Stripp and his buddy had 3 carp
out to mid doubles.
DAUGHTERS LAKE - has been fishing in spits
and spurts, with some anglers having good
results while others around them have struggled.
The carp have been banked to low 20’s and we
are still seeing grassies being banked to upper
teens. We have to say well done to Adrian Buss
and Kenny Johnson who after a very tough 24
Paul Vickery - 1st
hours they took some bailiff advice and a quick
rig making lesson and it changed their session quickly and they ended up catching 6 fish to just
under 16lb. The majority of the fish caught have been from the quiet far margins of the lake and
they are preferring a bed of pellet, hemp and a bit of corn with a sweet or fruity boilie over the top.
MAZE LAKE - has as usual been very productive with carp to just under 10lb, bream to 6lb and
perch to 3lb. the favoured swims at the moment are on the new car park side with carp regularly
being caught from the far margins. Small baits have been doing the business with luncheon meat
the preferred bait for the perch.
MOAT POND - is still producing some nice catches with carp anglers landing plenty of them to
9lb and the pole anglers are having some great roach and rudd. The carp are feeding well on the
maggot as well as small fruity baits.
EDEN POND - we have recently been in Eden Pond pulling some reeds and cutting back the
islands overhanging bows and the bottom being kicked up has certainly got the fish active with
lots of visible signs of carp and tench on the feed. Tench have been banked to 7lb and carp to
low doubles. There have also been plenty of roach out to over 1lb and some beautiful rudd also.
JUNIORS LAKE - is continuing to produce decent carp to those who have fished it. Carp have
been banked to mid doubles on a regular basis, the bream have been caught in abundance and
we have also had some nice tench out to this month.
HORSESHOE POND - is still a little haven for those anglers who want to get away from the carp,
bream, perch, roach and rudd have been the order of the month with plenty of all species being
banked to those anglers who fished it in a nice quiet corner of the fishery.
