Holy Hour for Persecuted Christians - Join the Emmanuel
Community for one hour of Eucharistic Adoration to offer

this nation. Lord God, grant eternal rest to those who have
died and healing and protection to those who remain missing.

Walking With Our Sisters
The Walking With Our Sisters commemorative art
installation will be at Wanuskewin Heritage Park in
Saskatoon until Nov. 21, to honour the lives of missing
and murdered Aboriginal women, to acknowledge the
grief and torment that the families and communities of
these women continue to suffer, and to raise awareness
of the issue and create opportunity for dialogue.
Wanuskewin is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays,
11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Nov. 15. (Closed Sun., Nov. 16).
There will also be a director’s screening of the film
“Stolen Sisters” followed by a panel discussion,
Thurs., Nov. 13 from 6 to 8 p.m., and Sat., Nov. 15

Sunday Smile - A young man called his mother and
announced excitedly that he had just met the woman of his
dreams. Now what should he do? His mother had an idea: "Why
don’t you invite her to your apartment for a home-cooked meal?"
He thought this was a great idea, and a week later, the woman
came to dinner. His mother called the next day to see how things
had gone. "I was totally humiliated," her son moaned, "she
insisted on washing the dishes." "Well, what's wrong with that?"
asked his mother. "We hadn't started eating yet."
