Litterära residens i Strömstad, Åmål, Alingsås, Par tille/Jonsered PRESSRELEASE SEPTEMBER 2015 Hej Ett nytt Litterärt Residens är etablerat i Västra Götaland Kulturnämnden i Västra Götaland har beslutat att ge Strömstad i uppdrag, att under tre år, etablera ett författar- och översättarresidens med satelliter i Västra Götaland. Satelliterna är Åmål, Alingsås och Partille/Jonsered/Villa Martinson. Huvudort och satelliter kommer att ta emot svenska och utländska författare och översättare under kortare perioder och ge dem möjlighet att bo och arbeta i en lugn och inspirerande miljö. De kommer också att ges möjlighet att knyta kontakter med kollegor på lokal, regional och nationell nivå. Residensen kommer att samarbeta med fristäderna i regionen för att ge ytterligare möjligheter till kulturella utbyten. A new Literary Residence is established in Västra Götaland, Sweden Strömstad, located on the west-cost of Sweden, has 2015 been appointed by Region Västra Götalands Cultural Board, to be the main residence of an Authors in Residence Program. Strömstad has been commissioned during a period of three years, to establish a residence program with three smaller satellites which are Åmål, Alingsås and Partille/Jonsered/Villa Martinson. These residences will host authors and translators in order to stimulate literary and cultural contacts between the region and the rest of the world, and to provide a working and meeting place for literary professionals. Seminars will continuously be organized. The residences will co-operate with the refuge cities in the region, and create new areas for intercultural dialogues between the invited artists but also give the opportunity for them to take part in the local and regional cultural life.
