Requirements
The minimum hardware requirements for CCH Scan 10.0 are the same as those for the Windows operating system
under which it will be run.
Recommended System Requirements
The specifications listed below are recommendations for best or optimal* performance.
CCH Scan Administrator
Hardware
• Any multi-core processor
Note: CCH Scan Administrator is extremely CPU intensive. Typical CPU utilization while CCH Scan
Administrator is working on a job is 60 to 100%. For this reason, it is recommended to use
dedicated hardware.
• At least 2 GB of RAM
• 1 GB of disk space for program files
• At least 1 GB of disk space for temporary data files (5 MB additional per workpaper set,
if archive option used)
Operating System Software
• Windows XP Professional SP3, 32-bit
• Windows 7 SP1, 32-bit or 64-bit1,2 (except for Starter and Home Editions)
• Windows 8.1, Professional & Enterprise 32-bit or 64-bit 1, 2
*Optimal: • Microsoft Windows Server 2003 SP2
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R21
• Microsoft Windows Server 20121
• Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R21
Note: Please note that Windows XP and Windows 2003 will no longer be supported as of December 2015.
Not Supported environments
• Microsoft Small Business Server
• Server Environment with IIS installed
• Citrix or Terminal Services environment

Software
PDFlyer
• If installed, the Microsoft Office suite must have the latest service pack.
• Citrix and Terminal Services are supported for Scan Workstation.
The minimum hardware requirements for PDFlyer are the same as those for Adobe Acrobat Standard or
Pro, version 10 or 11.
The PDF file editor that must be used with PDFlyer is Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro, version 10 or 11.
PDFlyer will not run with Adobe Reader.
If you are updating from a previous version of PDFlyer, manually remove the previous version of
PDFlyer before installing this version.
A license is needed for each physical workstation where PDFlyer is installed.
Scanner
• DPI setting of 300 dpi
• Generate multi-paged TIFF output files
• CCITT Group 4 compression
• TWAIN compliant scanner is recommended.
