Better that only a few Catholics should be left,
staunch and sincere in their religion, than that they
should, remaining many, desire as it were, to be in collusion with the Church’s enemies and in conformity with
the open foes of our faith.

CHURCH COLLECTION
Our Parish Collections Sun. Nov. 9th $ 10,575.00
We appreciate the generosity of you, our parishioners. When we have a
second collection, people tend to split their usual offering between the
two collections, which is understandable given the pressure of our economic times. However we rely on the first collection to keep the parish
and school going and pay the bills. We ask that if there are two collections you include the usual amount you give in the first collection and do
the best you can with the second if you are able to.

FROM THE DESK
OF FR. MIZZI-GILI
33rd Sunday in Ordinary Time
This Sunday’s readings focuses on our
relationship with our heavenly Father. Where
do our priorities lie? Are too complacent or are
we too fearful? Perhaps it us both? The two
good and faithful servants are those who revere
their relationship with God the Father. In the
collect prayer, grant us, we pray, O Lord our God,
the constant gladness of being devoted to you, for it
is full of and lasting happiness to serve with
constancy the author of all that is good, the priest is
praying to God on behalf of the people asking
Him to grow in charity and most important of
all- obedience. It is by obedience that our
salvation was one and it will be by our
obedience to God and the teachings of the
Roman Catholic Church that we will share in
His joy.
God blesses me every day of life and I cannot
take that for granted even if I’m tired, sick,
bored, frustrated or whatever, I must glorify
Him not just because I am His priest but
because I belong to Him and so do you. We
must give our all. It is that self-sacrificing love
that Christ won for us victory over sin and
death and opened the gates of Heaven. So,
therefore, it must be the same for you and for
me that self-sacrificing love for the other. We
must ‘pay it forward’ not just to God but to
others. We belong to Him and Him alone. Our
life is nothing without God in it.
As it is taught, God, family and friends. St. Paul
writes that he is nothing without God; so it is
true for all us! May God grant us those graces to
not only share in His joy but to participate with
the angels and saints praising and giving glory
to Him. Amen!
Buon Giorno
Buona Domenica!
Good day and Good Sunday!
