COMMUNITY INTERFAITH THANKSGIVING SERVICE TUESDAY, NOV. 25TH @ 7 PM The Greater SB Clergy Assn. will once again host this inspiring service celebrating many faiths at FUMC on Tuesday, Nov. 25th at 7:00 p.m. This year’s guest speaker will be Kathleen Moore, Ph.D., Chair and Professor of Religious Studies, UCSB. The free-will offering will go to Unity Shoppe, a local non-profit that works with community volunteers to collect food, donations and support for the “Free Store” where qualified people can shop. There will be a reception following the service. Your donation of cookies for the reception are much appreciated (see article below). CALLING ALL COOKIE ANGELS The holidays are upon us and we are asking for help in baking homemade cookies for the Interfaith Service reception and for our annual cookie packages to our very special people who cannot get out this holiday season. Can you help bake? • Interfaith Service: Please drop off your homemade cookies to the office or to Fellowship Hall before the Service on Tuesday, Nov. 25th. • Christmas Cookie Packages: You can help by baking 3 or 4 dozen cookies and bring them to the church no later than 2 pm on Friday, Dec. 12th.
