COMMUNITY INTERFAITH
THANKSGIVING SERVICE
TUESDAY, NOV. 25TH @ 7 PM
The Greater SB Clergy
Assn. will once again host
this inspiring service celebrating many faiths at
FUMC on Tuesday, Nov. 25th
at 7:00 p.m.
This year’s guest speaker will be Kathleen Moore, Ph.D., Chair and
Professor of Religious Studies, UCSB.
The free-will offering will go to Unity
Shoppe, a local non-profit that works with
community volunteers to collect food,
donations and support for the “Free Store”
where qualified people can shop.
There will be a reception following the
service. Your donation of cookies for the
reception are much appreciated (see article below).
CALLING ALL COOKIE ANGELS
The holidays are upon us
and we are asking for help
in baking homemade cookies for the Interfaith Service
reception and for our annual cookie packages to our
very special people who
cannot get out this holiday
season. Can you help bake?
• Interfaith Service: Please
drop off your homemade cookies to
the office or to Fellowship Hall before
the Service on Tuesday, Nov. 25th.
•
Christmas Cookie Packages: You can
help by baking 3 or 4 dozen cookies
and bring them to the church no later
than 2 pm on Friday, Dec. 12th.
Please label your platters if you leave them.

Blood Pressure Monitoring TODAY In Wesley During Fellowship time:
Health Ministries invites you to take the preventative measure of having your
blood pressure checked during Fellowship Time today. They will also receive expired medications. Please combine together into one bag. Thanks for not dumping them in the water system!
New Member Meetings TODAY at 10:30 &11:30 a.m.: Sylvia
Morikawa be meeting with prospective new members TODAY in the Conference Room after both services. You are invited to attend either the 10:30
a.m. meeting or the 11:30 a.m. meeting. FUMCSB will receive new members
into the life of our church on Sunday, December 7th.
Pumpkin Bread Sales Continue TODAY!! The Youth continue their annual
Pumpkin Bread sales! Place your orders at coffee fellowship time between services TODAY. The bread will be ready for pickup next Sunday, November 16th.
Proceeds from the sale of the bread will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for
the families of Transition House. Thank you for your support!

at the November UMC General Meeting.
Guest speaker Marisa Pasquini, of the SB
Alpha Resource Center will
speak on helping folks with
disabilities navigate the
world around them. Discussion and a great Thanksgiving luncheon by Chef Aaron Casale will
follow.
Tickets are $28 + fees and
include a copy of her book.

MOZART IS COMING!!
Mozart Adevu will, again, be visiting with us this coming weekend! He will be the
guest preacher at both services on Sunday November 16. He will also give a presentation on his mission Monday evening at St. Mark’s at 7:00 pm, to which we are invited.
