New Features Overview for Release 4.2.1
Introduction
This topic provides an overview of all new ADTECH features for release 4.2.1. Some
features are described in more detail in the following chapters. Please note the “For
details see …” cross-references.
Campaign
Management
The following feature is new in campaign management:
Network
Management
The following features are new in network management:
Bulk edit flights: When using the Bulk edit… flights function in a master campaign,
multiple campaign attributes can be selected, modified and applied to multiple flights
of different campaign type within one action. Since flights are saved and updated
asynchronously, you can continue to use the user interface instead of waiting for
flights to finish saving. The status of each modified flight can be monitored in the
Campaign Edit Queue under Monitoring. For details see Bulk Edit Flights on page 5.
• Team Management: Administrators can now create and manage Teams in the
ADTECH user interface. With this new option under Administration in the menu
bar, ADTECH extends the usability of the Team Permissions feature as introduced
with release 4.0.1. For details see Team Management Enhancements on page 13.
• Frequency Across Banners: It is now possible to define a frequency cap across several banners. This allows you to regulate the number e.g. of intrusive banners (like
layer banners, expandable banners, pop-ups etc.) that are displayed to a user within a specified period of time. This setting works across campaigns and placements.
For details see Frequency Across Banners on page 19.
Website
Management
Miscellaneous
The following feature is new in website management:
Inventory Type option: It is now possible to categorize the type of traffic for your inventory (on a website) between mobile in-app traffic and other traffic (desktop and
mobile web traffic). There is a report available that distinguishes between these types.
For details see Inventory Type on page 27.
The following miscellaneous features are new:
• Geo-Targeting templates: When Select a Template in the Geo Targeting tab in
campaigns is clicked, the result list of Geo Targeting templates is now listed in alphabetical order.
• New search field in event filter: The Filter under i-Center > Event now contains
“Team” as new search field. Select a campaign list under Event e.g. Campaigns
modified today to search for campaigns that have been assigned to a team.

About Bulk Edit and Multi Edit of Flights
What is new?
Bulk edit… flights is a new option for mass editing of flights in a master campaign in
addition to Multi edit… flights.
As the data is processed asynchronously while saving and updating the flights, it prevents time-outs and allows users for efficient booking and modification of flights.
Note: Other options of the …selected Flights selection box have been moved into the
Bulk edit… window, e.g. Adjust Status for, campaign actions like Start or Ad Visibility
settings.
Bulk edit and Multi
edit options image
Bulk edit vs. Multi
edit flights
To edit several flights within a Master Campaign at the same time you can now choose
between two options.
Depending on whether you use Bulk edit… or Multi edit… for …selected Flights the
feature properties are different:
Property
Bulk edit…
Multi edit…
Workflow
Multiple campaign attributes are
changed within one action via a
single window (Bulk Edit Campaigns window). For details see
Bulk Edit Campaigns Window on
page 9.
Multiple campaign attributes are
directly changed in the flights, one
after another via Next/Previous
buttons. For details see Multi Edit
Flights in Master Campaigns.
Campaign attributes
The number of available campaign The campaign attributes for each
attributes to be applied to all

flights is limited and pre-defined.
Data Processing
Flight updating is asynchronous.
Flight updating is synchronous.
Note: User can continue to edit
more campaigns while the flights
are updating.
Note: As all flights are saved with
the Next/Previous button click,
this can sometimes result in timeouts.
The update/validation status of
each modified flight can be monitored under Monitoring > Campaign Edit Queue > Flight update
report. For details see Flight Update Report Window on page 12.
Before modifying the Next Flight
the current flight will be saved
and shows directly error messages, in case the settings did not
match with the campaign.

About Frequency Across Banners
Introduction
It is now possible now to define a frequency cap across several banners. This allows
you to regulate the number of e.g. intrusive banners (like layer banners, expandable
banners, pop-ups etc.) that are displayed to a user within a specified period of time.
This setting works across campaigns and placements.
Use cases
You book campaigns from different advertisers which all contain pop-ups. However,
you do not want to expose the users on your websites to several pop-ups within a
short period of time. By putting a frequency cap on banners that all use pop-ups, the
user will now only see a certain number of pop-ups within a specified amount of time.
Properties and
limitations
• Cookies: It is cookie-based, therefore users need to accept cookies in their browsers. If users do not accept cookies, the banners can be delivered based on a temporary user ID that is valid for the current hour.
• Combination: It is possible to combine Frequency Across Banners with Frequency
Across Campaigns, Campaign Frequency and Banner Frequency. However, the feature that uses the lowest frequency is delivered with priority.
• Categories: To use the feature, you have to assign banners in campaigns to one of
the banner frequency categories. For details see How to Book a Banner with Frequency Across Banners on page 22.
• Network feature: It is a network feature. If you want to use it, please reach out to
your ADTECH Client Service contact.

About Inventory Type and Reporting
What’s new?
It is now possible to categorize the type of traffic for your inventory (on a website)
between mobile in-app traffic and other traffic (desktop and mobile web traffic).
There is a report available that distinguishes basically between these types:
• ”Non-Mobile In-App” traffic (= all other traffic, the measurement has been accredited by the MRC)
• “Mobile In-App” traffic (where the measurement is not yet accredited by the MRC)
Note: The feature and the report are only available if the network feature for Mobile is
enabled for the network.
Reporting
A new report is available that discloses the traffic type based on the defined inventory
type. The Network by Placement by Inventory Type report shows how many impressions, AdCounts and clicks have been measured for ”Non-Mobile In-App” traffic and
“Mobile In-App” traffic.
To open the report there is a link at the bottom of every report together with the following text: “Please see the Network by Placement by Traffic Type report which shows
traffic split by Non-Mobile In-App Traffic and Mobile In-App Traffic.”
