AUCC Weekend Preview Colin Maiden Park is the place to be tomorrow afternoon where the Senior A, B and premier women`s sides will be looking for another victory after all three teams won last week while the premier men`s side are searching for their first ever Major Championship success. AUCC Premier Men v Parnell – Colin Maiden Park `B` Block AUCC`s premier men`s side require a further 180 runs with nine wickets in hand to defeat Parnell on CMP`s number one ground. If our boys are successful it would mark the first ever victory for our premier side amongst the top eight teams in Auckland. Varsity did lose coach Barrington Rowland late on day one however the team will still be confident of overcoming the target with skipper Marc Ellison set to join Vishi Jeet at the crease for the start of day two. Parnell`s dangerman with the ball is undoubtedly Aces fast bowler Lockie Ferguson. Ferguson was the man to dismiss Rowland last week and is widely recognised as not only one of the fastest bowlers in Auckland but the whole of New Zealand as well. Our boys have made one change to their line up this week with the big hitting Sam Flett replacing Richard Sillars in the middle order. AUCC Premier Women v Waitakere City – Colin Maiden Park `A` Block After a stunning final ball victory over Cornwall last weekend our premier women`s side will be hoping to continue the momentum when they face Waitakere City on `A` Block. Despite scoring 266/3 last weekend Varsity`s batting line up will be significantly stronger for tomorrow`s clash with White Fern Sara McGlashan and newly contracted Northern Spirit player Katie Gurrey both returning to the side. The hard hitting duo replace the unavailable Ingrid Cronin-Knight and Canterbury Magicians batsman Courtney Buckman who has returned to her home province to prepare for the upcoming domestic campaign. AUCC Premier Reserves v Cornwall – Cornwall Park Nigel Fletcher will be looking for a big performance from his middle order as his premier reserve side resume the day on 20/3 in pursuit of Cornwall`s first innings score of 190 at Cornwall Park. Pierce Fletcher was last week`s hero claiming seven wickets in a marathon 27 over stint with the ball but he may now be required with the bat after the top order were unable to bat out the day last weekend. With Sam Flett being promoted to the premier side James Partridge steps up from the Senior A1s to take his place. After a successful winter in the UK Partridge has been in form since he return to the club scoring over 100 runs in his last two innings for the third Xl. AUCC Senior A1 v Suburbs New Lynn – Colin Maiden Park `E` Block AUCC`s Senior A1 side have begun the season with two victories from as many matches and they will be looking to maintain their perfect record when they take on Suburbs New Lynn on CMP`s `E` Block. James Partridge is the only notable omission from the side which defeated Cornwall last weekend meaning star batsman Nick Wanden and New Zealand Indoor World Cup rep Adrian Fong are both still with the Senior A side. AUCC Senior B3s v Papatoetoe – Colin Maiden Park `D ` Block AUCC`s Senior B3s will be looking to build on the momentum gained when they secured their first victory of the 2014/15 season last weekend when they defeated Eden Roskill. Donald White is able to name relatively similar line up for the visit of Papatoetoe on Saturday afternoon with the return of last season`s leading wicket taker Wesley Bolton proving to be a major boost for the side.
