We would expect: 5+ years of research agency and/or clientside experience Experience across different sectors and methodologies Experience of designing and delivering custom research solutions Comfortable with all aspects of the role from proposals and pitches through to debrief writing and presentation Strong research design capabilities Great analysis and insight skills Ability to create compelling and actionable stories Strong team management and ability to inspire and motivate Excellent client management skills Interest in developing new business Happy to get involved in the nitty gritty when necessary An interest in developing a specialism either alone or with colleagues Key Areas of Responsibility You will be encouraged to take responsibility early on, supported by a team of highly experienced senior researchers. You will be expected to: Lead one or more key client accounts, providing strategic direction and guidance at both a relationship and project level Identify research opportunities and develop a range of relationships with current clients, potential clients and partners Develop successful tender proposals and present proposals where invited Develop research tools, systems and practices, either individually or as part of a team Manage research contracts and contribute to the successful and professional delivery of contracts managed by others Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget paying specific attention to the commerciality of all projects Manage members of staff and conduct regular supervision and reviews Manage relationships with partners, associates and other contractors Work collaboratively with and support other members of staff and associates Contribute to Optimisa’s development in its core business areas Show a commitment to quality in all areas of work Undertake any other associated duties which may, from time to time, be necessary The role description will be reviewed in conjunction with the employee at a minimum annually and in line with business developments.
