How this has come about we are unsure but it

teacher contact time and more obvious is the
tiredness of the children, especially in the primary

Rangiora Mitre 10 Mega has raised the stakes. The prize
vouchers for best entry in each section have been increased to
$50. FREE giant pumpkin plants will be available next week
at the Hawarden PGG-Wrightson store. Pumpkins need to
be planted in rich soil with lots of compost. They need
regular watering and plenty of side dressings of manure.
To prevent the wind whipping the young plants from the
ground protect them with a small tyre or surround with
anchor stones. When the pumpkins form, select the best one
and snip the others off. It is a good idea to place a sheet of
cardboard or similar beneath the pumpkin to prevent bottom
rot.

on call - please phone the Health Centre on the number below
during normal business hours and after hours and you will be
directed to the appropriate assistance. The After Hours calls
are managed by HML (Homecare Medical Ltd) who will assess
your needs and advise your best course of action.

EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR HURUNUI
RESIDENTS Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools and Spa is now
selling its Annual Swim Pass for Hurunui ratepayers and
residents. And in a special deal, the complex is offering a
saving of more than a hundred dollars for those who purchase
the pass before 20 December 2014.
Marketing Manager Shane Adcock says the passes are about
recognising the pools’ special relationship with its local
community. “We’re under no illusion as to how important
Hurunui residents are to our business and it’s always great
seeing locals come through our doors. We’ve always felt those
who live in the Hurunui are as proud of the pools and spa as
we are of being part of this special place.”
The Annual Swim Pass allows families (two adults and their
dependent children who’re aged under 18 and live at home) to
visit the pools as often as they like until 31 December 2015. If
they’re purchased before 20 December 2014, each pass will cost
$239 per family (after that the pass will be $349).
