How can I apply?
Applications are available at White Rock Leisure
Services (604-541-2199) or visit www.whiterockcity.ca
to download the Leisure Access application form.
The program ensures that residents are not restricted
from access or participation in a reasonable variety of
recreation activities due to financial hardship.
Complete one application per family and return it to
the registration desk with proof of residency and proof of
household income.
Residents are provided with a mechanism for
accessing subsidies which incorporates confidentiality,
dignity, privacy and easy access.

residents who meet Jump Start criteria:

Set in a forested park, the lively Centennial
Park Leisure Centre and ice rink complex
brings together everything that makes life in

the Centre for Active Living and Semiahmoo Arts, playing fields, fenced off-leash

and tennis courts there are endless opportunities for outdoor fun and fitness.

The White Rock Community Centre has a
large, bright art room, where a variety of art
classes take place for all ages and abilities.
The Community Centre is home to the Art
on Display program, a partnership between
the City of White Rock and Semiahmoo Arts
to showcase artwork by local artists. The
White Rock Community Centre also hosts
numerous cultural special events, including the International Artist Day Festival and
Christmas on the Peninsula.

A couple of years ago, Elen’s doctor told her that if she didn’t “move
her butt” she was going to end up with knee surgeries and big-time
diabetes, just for starters. Now she takes five exercise classes a week and
can practically out-walk her hiker daughter, who is thrilled with mum’s
