Partnerships – Making it Happen
The Mississauga Transitway is funded through a joint partnership between the Government
of Canada (Canada Strategic Infrastructure Fund), the Province of Ontario, GO Transit
(a division of Metrolinx) and the City of Mississauga. The Mississauga Transitway is
an example of Metrolinx’s Big Move in action.
• Efficient and cost-effective solution to addressing congestion in Mississauga
• Convenient east-west transit travel across Mississauga
• Reduced passenger travel time
• Bypass traffic congestion for a more reliable commute
• MiExpress and MiLocal buses will provide a safe mode of east-west service as well
as north-south connections at transitway stations
• Easier connections to surrounding municipalities
• Real-time next bus displays at each station
