Progressing through the ranks attaining the rank of Senior Fire Prevention Officer – Senior Rescue
Operations Officer and Paramedic. Roodepoort Town Council Safety Officer & Lead Civil Defense
Instructor.
Qualifications - Accreditations
Graduate and Associate diploma from SAFSI (South African Fire services Institute) Achieving a Higher
National Diploma in Fire Technology & registered with SA Medical Council as Emergency Care Paramedic.
Years of Civil Defense training installed a desire in Leon to empower and motivate people in Basic Life
Skills & Safe responsible behavior, utilizing innovative practical methods, attained through years of
experience, in making training a fun enjoyable experience. Respected by his peers for his contribution to
on going safety training.
Established PFC Security - a private Security company on leaving the Emergency Services. Introduced
training and skills development initiatives programs to staff establishing a team of proud Professionals.
Rapidly gained recognition as a Security provider of choice for their efficient & effective service and
response to the client’s requirements.
Leon on reflection of his life experiences and training in the emergency services realized the need to
empower people with essential life skills with a view to empower responsible behavior.
Founded and registered “OSHA ACADEMY OF LEARNING. S.A. (Pty) Ltd” in 2012
OSHA is registered as a skills development and RPL training center, and the first to offer online RPL
training preparing students for their summative assessments.
Accredited and registered with LGETA –HWSETA-SASETA- EDTP SETA and Department of Labour to
assess and moderate on 130 accredited unit standards including two National Certificates at NQF 5 Level.
Served on the task force for the SGB ( Standards generating body) of SASETA Re-developing the NQF
standards for SASETA and aligning the RPL ( Recognised Prior Learning ) process to become more
student friendly, making him a subject expert in the process.
Is registered as an assessor and moderator with EDTP SETA to train assessors and moderators.
His facilitation skills were tested by the Government of Mpumalanga the only facilitator to receive a green
guard making him a provider of choice.

Our Academic Team
OSHA prides itself on the quality of its administrative and academic team. While academic credentials
and ability are important, we recruit staff primarily for their passion, professionalism, skills, experience
and team spirit .
Comprising a team of passionate & dedicated professionals with special practical Skills and many years of
experience, gained in a professional capacity, having served in a Security, Safety, Fire and Emergency
Management Service background ensuring our success.
