How to get here
Getting here is easy but finding a parking space
can be difficult. That’s why we recommend
getting here by train.
By train and tram
By car
We’re on all the mainline routes
across the UK. From the train
station there’s a tram roughly
every ten minutes to campus. The
journey takes about ten minutes.
Get the blue line towards Malin
Bridge and ask for a ticket to
the University. Our student
ambassadors will be at the train
station all day so if you need any
help, please ask them.
There are a range of parking
options available in the city
centre. We recommend checking
the Sheffield City Council web
pages for travel, parking advice
and a map of public car parking
available at:
www.sheffield.gov.uk/roads
By coach
National Express nationwide
coach service has connections
from around the country that
stop at the Sheffield Transport
Interchange, Pond Street.
Megabus Coaches also stop at the
Meadowhall Interchange which
is accessible by Supertram from
the city centre.
19
Open day guide 2014
There are also Park & Ride
facilities available but please be
aware that these will be busy with
shoppers.
Stay over
If you’d like to spend more time
in Sheffield before or after your
open day, we can recommend
some great hotels, B&Bs and
restaurants. This gives you a
chance to explore the city further
and get a feel for it. We even have
our own boutique hotel, Halifax
Hall Hotel.
For more on getting here, Park and Ride
and places to stay, see our website:
www.sheffield.ac.uk/visitors
For things to do in Sheffield, see:
