he Pro Built Restoration commercial division has solutions for your

Since the age of 18 when he worked on his first
commercial roofing project as an installer, Mike has
been interested in commercial properties. He has
worked on a variety of projects ranging from apartment
complexes to huge shopping malls and has the hands
on experience that allows him to come up with great
solutions for our customers.

Spurred by a wrestling scholarship, Mike left the
industry for several years to pursue a graduate degree
in Spinal Trauma Surgical Devices. After a stint working
in medical devices he realized that he missed the fast
paced problem solving environment that is commercial construction. In 2012
Mike came back to the construction industry and is now the head of Pro Built
Restoration’s commercial division.

Commercial Insurance Claims
O
ften times storm damage goes unnoticed on commercial properties, often leading to long term
problems that prove very costly for the property owners. This can happen for a variety of reasons,
the main one being that most commercial construction companies don’t train their estimators on
what to look for. That’s not to say that they aren’t more than qualified to make repairs or complete the work
that needs to be done, they simply are not familiar with the insurance restoration process. At Pro Built
Restoration our goal is to provide a superior product at minimum out of pocket expense to our customers,
and often times working with your insurance company is the best solution if there is storm damage on
your property.
That is why Pro Built Restoration began opening local offices and employing ‘local’ people to run those
offices. We establish warranty funds and offer our customers an industry leading Lifetime Warranty on our
workmanship. We don’t travel around trying to ‘make a quick buck’ like many contractors that you hear
about in the news.
If you have already filed an insurance claim and are trying to get bids to fit within the parameters of what
they have allowed, you may be shooting yourself in the foot. Here’s why: insurance companies have many
years of experience and knowledge on how to minimize and delay settlements. That is not to say that all
insurance companies will do this, but here are a few examples that we have run into over the years.
HEATHERS ESTATES APARTMENTS IN CRYSTAL, MN
Claim started at $16,893 for some minor roofing repairs. After Pro Built Restoration did our
inspection we found that not only did that not cover the cost to properly make the repairs that were
approved, there was extensive damage that had not even been addressed. The total of the claim ended up
being over $308,000! Over $291,000 difference; and we were able to address all of these issues without
having to get attorneys or public adjusters involved - which saved them over $30,000 in fees on top of that.
CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD - TEMPLE 203, FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, IL
Claim started at $28,581 for roof repairs after a hail storm caused damage to the roof and several
other items. Through the use of a contingency agreement we were able to help them address the
damage sustained to their stained glass windows, metal steeple, EPDM flat roof, entire steep slope roof,
gutter system, and interior leaking. The total claim ended up at $79,671... more than 3x the amount initially
offered by their insurance company.
