Today, Jesus has some words about investing what we
receive. Jesus tells us the famous parable of the talents.
The man who receives five talents, put them to work and
makes an additional five. The second receives two and
makes two more. However, the man who receives one
talent, buries it. Jesus calls him “wicked” and “lazy.” His
problem comes from fear and not an attitude of greed. For
whatever God gives you, thank Him and ask His help to
invest His gifts as best as you can. Mother Theresa said,
“Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your
strength lies.” She didn’t speak about doing great things,
but doing little things with great love.
Our condolences to the McManus and Short families for
the loss of Rose and Maggie. Know that our prayers are
with you at this most difficult time.
Looking forward to the Veteran’s Mass on Sunday,
November 23rd at 10:45 am. This will be a time to thank
our men and women for the sacrifices they have made for
our nation and for the world.
The Bristol Borough Parade is coming on November 29.
It is always a great day of celebration!
Many thanks for your continued support of the Parish
Census and all of your contributions to our Parish. May
God bless you.
