A THRIVING ROSENLUND
The Rosenlund area has a great location, next to the Rosenlund Canal in central Gothenburg, but not as great a reputation when it comes to safety.
Since 2012, the City of Gothenburg has redeveloped Rosenlund together with property owners in
the area. The objective of the project is to create a sustainable and thriving neighbourhood; a safe,
friendly and welcoming place where people want to meet.
The project name "A thriving Rosenlund" refers to the rose garden that previously graced the area.
The EU-project runs between 2012-2014, and is partly (40 percent) financed by the ERDF.

Ett blomstrande Rosenlund
Rosenlund har ett fantastiskt läge med kajstråket och närhet till vatten, men har varit ett otryggt område
som har dragits med ett dåligt rykte. Sedan 2012 har därför Göteborgs Stad och fastighetsägarna i området
satsat på att rusta upp området. Målet med projektet är att skapa en hållbar och blomstrande stadsdel; en
trygg, trevlig och välkomnande plats där människor vill mötas.
Projektet har fått sitt namn efter den rosenträdgård som tidigare prydde området.
EU-projektet pågår mellan 2012 - 2014 och delfinansieras till 40 % genom Europeiska regionala utvecklingsfonden.
