The Vice Chancellor, Prof Oluyemisi Obilade Visits the Colleges
The Vice Chancellor and team embarked on a college by college interactive session with the academic staff. COAEVOT and COHUM
were visited on Wednesday 10th September 2014. The issues discussed were; criteria for promotion exercise, sourcing for reputable
journals, and ethical practices among teaching staff. She went on to inspire academic staff to move up and be globally relevant. She
also used the forum to intimate lecturers with the various structural developments in the pipeline in the university
New Generation Entrepreneurial Education (EE) Training for Students
A team of four experts: Sarah Philips, Mary Udoh, John Davis and John Frykenberg from Rotary Club Altadena, California visited the
university to train the students who are about 850 students across the four Colleges, by department and level on entrepreneurial
knowledge between Monday 15th – Friday 19th, September at the OGD hall. Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion was the
representative of the commissioner for Education, Science and technology, Mrs Olaseni Abosede Ogunleye, Director, Primary and
Higher Education. District Governor, Rotary Club, and all members of executive Rotary Club, Sagamu.
5th Annual College Lecture
The College of Humanities held their 5th Annual lecture titled “Bad Politics, Good Governance and The Challenges of Development in
Nigeria: Historical Antecedents and Contemporary Realities”. This was delivered by Prof. Olayemi Akinwuyi, the current National
President of History Society of Nigeria. He also donated a set of Journals and textbooks in relevant areas to the University library. The
Chairman of the program was Prof. Hakeem Tijani, Deputy Vice Chancellor Adeleke University, Ede.
