LOCKDOWN PRACTICE DRILL Wai`alae School will be holding a lockdown practice drill tomorrow Thursday, November 13th. A letter with details was included in last week’s Wai`alae Weekly packet.

FWS WAI`ALAE SOCIAL The Friends of Wai`alae School’s Wai`alae Social is happening this
Saturday, November 15th from 5pm to 8pm in the B-Building Courtyard.

GRADE 4 RECYCLING FUNDRAISER The next recycling day is Tuesday, November 18th, from 7am
to 8am on 20th Avenue, near Harding Avenue. See attached flyer for details . (Parents, please
leave area in front of the Wai`alae School sign open for families who are dropping off recyclables.)

FWS NOVEMBER MEETING The Friends of Wai`alae School November meeting will be on Tuesday,
November 18th. A flyer with details was distributed through the classrooms .

ENTERTAINMENT BOOK SALES Thank you very much to all who have purchased an
Entertainment Book! We do have some Books remaining, and sales will go on until Wednesday
November 26th or until all Books have sold, whichever is earlier. Thank you for your support !

KBPA KAIMUKI CHRISTMAS PARADE - DECEMBER 4TH Wai`alae School is once again
participating in this annual community event and all families and staff are invited to walk in this parade
to represent our school. A flyer with details was distributed through the classrooms .

ON-CALL POSITION AVAILABLE AT WAI`ALAE SCHOOL We are currently seeking to hire an oncall “substitute” classroom cleaner at Wai`alae School. Duties include cleaning (sweeping, mopping,
etc.) classrooms after the dismissal bell. If you are interested in applying, or would like additional
information, please contact Mrs. Melyssa Quezon, Business Manager, at 733 -4880.

TRAFFIC MONITOR The Honolulu Police Department is currently looking to hire a Traffic Monitor
for our school. This paid position requires one hour in the morning before school and one hour in
the afternoon after school on school days. If you are interested in applying, please contact Mr. Ian
