Women thanked
for poll success
THE remarkable success of the parliamentary and municipal elections was
hailed by Her Royal Highness Princess
Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of
His Majesty King Hamad and Supreme
Council for Women president.
She thanked every Bahraini woman
for assuming their national duty, exercising their constitutional right and consolidating their political participation.
“The world has seen the Bahraini
mothers’ honourable and civilised image
through media outlets. They have voted regardless of their health conditions
and obligations. This is the best proof of
Bahraini women’s resolve to prioritise
the kingdom’s interest in order to maintain its stability and protect its future,”
she said.
Princess Sabeeka highlighted Bahraini women’s responsible stance, expressing her pride and appreciation for
them as a role model for the coming
generations.
She wished women candidates running for a second round every success,
expressing hope that voters will continue
to support democratic action.
