Static Water Supply Program
The revised policy on the Static Water Suppht Progrøm has been published on the Intranet.
This policy rescinds In Orders 1998122, Static water supply progrøm.
Key points
1.
The Static Water Supply (SWS) Program identifies static water supplies in high risk
bushfires areas. The program is community based and provides opportunities for
improving communication between firefighters, Community Fire Unit members and
residents.

The policy has been reviewed and updated to reflect:
o the transfer of responsibility for the SWS Program from Community Safety to
the Bushfire Section
o the contribution

improved data collection, mapping capabilities and reporting.
To support Station Commanders running SWS programs in their areas, the SWS
Toolkit on the Intranet includes:
. a new SWS Checklist.for Station Commanders, and

on the SWS program.

SWS information for Community Fire Unit members is published on the CFU portal.

Members of the public can access information about the SV/S program on our Intemet
site.

This procedure details the security measures FRNSV/ must take at each level of alert.
The policy has been reviewed and updated to reflect:

changes in NSW counter-terrorism arrangements.

peak holidqt periods and special events, long service leave applications for periods that fall
in peak holiday and special event periods in 201512016 are now called for from Inspectors,
Station Officers and Firefighters.
