The York men’s and women’s swim teams had a good showing in their last double dual meet against
Bard and Mt. St. Vincent, however both teams lost both meets. On the men’s side, Travis Henry and
Justice McCain both won two events. Henry won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke
and McCain added wins in the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. Alfred Clark also took
the win in the 100-yard butterfly by .22 seconds. The women’s team was led by Marissa Buchanan,
who earned a victory in the 1,000-yard freestyle and placed second in the 100-yard backstroke.
Baruch’s swim teams lost two close matches in a tri-meet against DII schools Queens College and
Adelphi University. The men’s team was led by Jacky Lau, who collected victories in the 200-yard IM
and the 100-yard backstroke. The women’s relay teams both placed second in the opening 200-yard
medley relay and the closing 200-yard freestyle relay.
