In regards to School Chaplaincy... ...the SA government are yet to sign the funding agreement and the decision is still with the SA government cabinet... SMG are contacting churches (and chaplains) and asking people to help ‘fund the gap’. That is – contribute money to chaplaincy so that chaplains will have full funding in term 1 while the State Government makes its decision on funding. Many non- believers are reached in this way. Please continue to pray for (and connect with) members of our congregation and community who are unwell and in hospital : Heather, Rex, Delphine, Lindsay. (2) Pray for God`s peace in Jolo, Southern Philippines. The atrocities that are being committed in this area are very extreme. Pray that the authorities will act with integrity to stop the violence. Matt, Lisa and Isla Lucas would like to sincerely thank their church family for the overwhelming well wishes, prayer support and cards. A special thanks also to those who prepared delicious meals for us. We look forward to introducing Isla to you soon! (3) Security fears are high in Kenya following bombings by Somali militants in northeast Kenya, & threats by alShabab to attack Kenyan cities.
