May the winds of Heaven blow
gently
On the quiet and peaceful spot
Where the one we love is sleeping
And will never be forgot.
Though her smile is gone forever
And her hands we cannot touch
Still, we have the memories
Of the one we love so much.
Her memories are a keepsake
With which we will never part
God has her in His keeping
And we will always have her in our
hearts.
Always loved and
remembered by

THANK YOU
The family of the late Delia
McLaughlin would like to thank all
of you that sent cards, made phone
calls and brought food in this difficult time. We really appreciated all
those that attended her memorial
mass. The St. Benoit Church congregation in Pickardville was greatly
appreciated for their thoughtful support and the ladies made a fantastic
lunch. We are very thankful for the
wonderful care from Dr. Keay and
the staff at Long Term Care. They
were so good to Delia. For all of you
that sent flowers and donations to
Parkinson’s and other charities
thank you so much. We are grateful for such great friends, family and
caregivers.

LATIMER, Elma “Gail”
March 5, 1941 November 8, 2014
It is with great sadness that the
family of Gail Latimer announces
her passing on Saturday, Nov 8,
2014 at the age of 73 years. Her
tired little body, finally free from pain.
She will forever be remembered
by her daughters Dawn (Peter),
Charlene (Andy), Corrina (Bob) her
grandchildren Haley & Nicole, Sarah
& Daniel, Clint (Jordan) & William, 2
great- granddaughters, many dear
relatives, close long-time friends, coworkers and classmates. Gail was
pre-deceased by her father Lawrence
(1962) her mother Norma (1998)
whom she was very close to, brother
Larry Wright (1986), her 1st husband
Glenn Shaw (1991), 2nd husband
Glenn Latimer (2008) and her special
dog Max. Gail graduated from the
Royal Alexandra School of Nursing
Class of 1963-2. She was profoundly
proud of being a Registered Nurse
and worked in the RAH Emergency
Dept and the Immaculata Hospital
in Westlock for many years. She
was a gifted nurse; many people
commented on her skill, compassion, integrity and leadership. Gail loved
to go to work. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, knitting,
crocheting, and had a special passion for crafts especially cross-stitch.
A heart transplant thankfully saved her life on Nov 11, 1994 but abruptly
ended her nursing career. However after a long, hard-fought recovery,
she continued to serve by volunteering at blood donor clinics and on the
Immaculata Hosp Ladies’ Auxiliary, the Communities in Bloom, and the
Westlock Nurses Chapter, among others. Gail was a very thoughtful and
generous person, sending cards and notes, remembering an occasion, or
wrapping a home-made gift. She made many donations for causes that
touched her heart such as the Humane Society, STARS Air Ambulance,
and the Heart Transplant Program at the UofA Hospital. She had a great
love and compassion for all animals, in particular dogs. In lieu of flowers
and if friends so desire, a donation may be made in her name to one of
her favorite charities or to the charity of one’s choice. Cremation has taken
place with interment at a later date. At Gail’s request no formal service
will be held. Instead, a “Memory Tea” honouring Gail will be held in the
Auditorium at the Silver Birch Lodge, 910 Bison Way, Sherwood Park, AB
on Saturday, Nov 29, 2014 at 1pm. Corner of Sherwood Drive and Bison
Way, across from the RCMP. My mother wanted this gathering to be a
casual affair in which people could share their memories of her over a
snack and a cup of coffee or tea. Please join us in celebrating the life of
this remarkable woman. Condolences: www.serenity.ca Serenity Funeral
