26, 1927 in Centralia, IL.
She moved to Tulsa in
the ‘80s to attend Rhema
Bible School. She served
as the outreach pastor for
the Family Prayer Center
since the ‘90s to the present. She’s survived by her
sister, Margaret Hays; her
son, R. Steven Carpenter
and wife, Brenda; four
grandchildren,
Charlie
and wife, Jamie, Stephanie, Christina, and John;
and four great-grandchildren, Amorous, Jolie,
Cayden, and Connor.
Her memorial service
will be held at the Family Prayer Center on April
19th at 10:00 a.m. For

John Sibole passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.
Born May 29, 1922 in Tulsa, OK.
He attended Osage, Lee, Horace
Mann and Central High School.
Upon High School graduation
three comrades and he fulfilled
a boyhood dream. They built a
boat, traveled on the Arkansas
and Mississippi from Tulsa to
New Orleans—a 1200 mile trip in
28 days. During WWII he was a
2nd Lt. Bombardier. Following the
war, he met Lois Larsen at St. Olaf College
in Northfield, MN. After graduation, they
were married in 1949. He worked for The
Williams Companies in Human Resources
for 33 years. He was the Choir Director at
First Lutheran Church and also directed
the Area Lutheran MESSIAH Presentation for 40 years. Presently a member of
Joy Lutheran Church. In both churches he

was a Sunday School Teacher. He
directed the men’s Chorus at Joy
Lutheran Church and also a men’s
Chorus at Inverness Village, his
residence since 2003. He was also
a volunteer at St. John Hospital.
Preceded in death by parents,
Barton and Hildegarde Sibole;
and sister, Elizabeth. Survived
by three sons, Steven, David and
Philip, Philip’s wife, Jill, and four
grandchildren, Stephanie, Natalie, Hillery and Landon. In lieu
of flowers friends may contribute to Joy
Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Visitation
will be 6-8 PM, Tuesday, April 15, 2014,
at Moore’s Southlawn. Service will be
11:00 A.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at

enjoyed volunteering for the Jaycees, MS Society, and Meals on
Wheels. He was a member at Harvard Avenue Christian Church
where he served as Treasurer and
on various committees. He enjoyed traveling, family campouts,
spending time with friends and attending the grandchildren’s activities. He always had a positive attitude and made everyone around
him feel special. He will be missed by everyone that had the privilege to know him. Service will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 15,

Benjamin "Ben" Elwood Kitchell

Benjamin “Ben” Elwood Kitchell was born December 8, 1921
in Haileyville, OK. He died April
12, 2014. He was preceded in
death by his wife, LaVonne Vivian “Pat” Seibert Kitchell and
his love of the past 18 years,
Mary Frances Cantrell. He is
survived by his brother, Lloyd
Cliford Kitchell and his wife,
Bonnie of Midwest City, OK; extended family and many friends.
Ben grew up and attended
school in Shawnee and served in the
United States Coast Guard during WWII.
Ben was a superintendent for the oil and
gas well service division of the Dow Chemical
Company and retired after 30 years in 1982.




Gearl Laughlin, 79, passed away
on April 12, 2014 after a courageous
battle with Multiple Sclerosis.He
was born in Quinton, OK, January 16, 1935. Preceded in death
by his parents and ive siblings.
Survived by his wife of 49 years,
Della Ann; daughter, Pamela
Brown and husband, Charlie;
daughter, Dawn Ann Laughlin;
grandchildren, Sarah, Lauren, and
Christian Brown; brothers, Don
Laughlin of Henryetta, OK and
Harold Laughlin of Costa Mesa, CA. He was
a graduate of Wilson High School in Wilson,
OK. Gearl graduated from Oklahoma State
University, where he served as Treasurer
for the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Fraternity. Gearl was very proud to be a U.S. Marine.
He married Della Ann Whitmire and they
began a wonderful life together, December
19, 1964. He opened his accounting irm in

Eula Louise Wilson, 90, passed
away Sunday, April 13, 2014, in
Tulsa, OK. Born August 31, 1923
in McAlester, OK to Rufus Edward and Beulah Rose (Harp)
Munn, Jr. She was a member
of Park Plaza Church of Christ.
Eula’s life was centered around
family, friends, and church activities. As a homemaker raising her
children, she was always ready to
provide a meal to families in need.
As well as being an excellent cook,
she was also an excellent seamstress who
made all the clothes for her daughters. She
loved entertaining and was known for her
gift of hospitality. She and Leman particularly enjoyed hosting and encouraging
young families who came into their lives
through church. She will be remembered
as one who was there to welcome members
and visitors as they arrived on Sundays.
Over the years she worked occasionally as
a receptionist/typist in her husband’s architectural firm. After raising her family, she
spent a few years working at the Education Service Center of Tulsa Public Schools

