Kathy Jean Harrel was born
April 28, 1954, in Union Town,
Pennsylvania to H.S. Patterson
and Jeanne Caldwell-Patterson.
Kathy grew up on Long Island,
New York. She moved to Oklahoma in 1967, when her father
was transferred to work for City
Service Oil Company. She graduated from Broken Arrow High
School with the Class of 1970. She
attended college for four years
and on March 1, 1988; she graduated from the Tulsa Police Academy and
began her career as CSO for the Tulsa Police Department. She spent the next 22½
years as a Police officer. 1988 was also the
year she moved to Sapulpa where she
lived life to the fullest. She loved her cats

at the Stop Child Trafficking
Now Walk in Jenks.
Tulsan Jason Weis, the
national walk director who also
is coordinating the local event,
said the purpose of the rally
is to raise awareness about
child sexual exploitation and to
educate people that it happens
everywhere, including in the
United States.
“We want to get people
involved in the fight,” he said.
The rally is set for 9 to 11 a.m.
at the RiverWalk Crossing. Registration and check-in begins at
7:30 a.m.
The walk is one of three
dozen nationwide sponsored by
the Stop Child Trafficking Now
organization.
Other performers will be the
Lonelys, Daniel Mow and his
Symphony of Guitars, Urban
Sent, Bethany Burton and
Value, a stomp dance team.
Speakers will be state Rep.
Pam Peterson, R-Tulsa, Jenks
Police Chief Don Selle and the
Rev. Paul Daugherty of Victory
Christian Center.
Pets and strollers are permitted in the untimed walk, which
will cross the Jenks bridge and
then return to the RiverWalk
amphitheater.

Murle Glenn Wagner 84, of
Tulsa, OK went to be with the
Lord on Thursday, September 30,
2010. Murle was born in West
Chicago, IL on January 19, 1926 to
Ed and Clara Wagner. He moved
to Tulsa in 1936. After graduating
from Central High School in 1944,
Murle proudly entered the Army
Air Force during WWII and as a
tail gunner on the B17 Bomber, he
completed 19 missions. In July
1944, he married his high school
sweetheart, Jean Bartley. He retired from
the US Postal Service after 36 years as a Letter Carrier. An avid bicycle rider, he completed several Free Wheel rides. Murle was
a devoted worker in his church and loved
hymns and gospel music. He was always
willing to help anyone and go the extra

Oklahoma National Guard
sets Sunday blood drive
VINITA — The Oklahoma
National Guard will host a
blood drive Sunday in Vinita.
Soldiers from Fort Leonard
Wood, Mo., will collect blood
donations from 10 a.m. to 4
p.m. at the armory, 815 N.
Wilson St.
Donated blood will directly
support missions of forward
combat hospitals in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany.
Lt. Col. Dale Deehr said,
“When you donate blood to the
Armed Services Blood Program,
you’re saving the lives of service members.”
Donors must weigh at least
110 pounds, be at least 17 years
old and bring identification plus
a list of medications they’re
taking and of foreign countries
to which they have traveled.
