DIED
HOELZEL -- In Bridgeton, N. J., April 6, 1921, Charles Frederick Hoelzel, aged 50 years.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service at the residence of
his mother-in-law, Caroline Kienzle, 46 Atlantic street, on Saturday afternoon, April 9, at 2
o’clock. Interment at Broad Street Cemetery. Friends may view the remains on Friday evening
from 7 to 8 o’clock.

C. Frederick Hoelzel Dead
After being ill for about a month Charles Frederick Hoelzel died yesterday at the age of 50
years. He is survived by his wife, who before her marriage was Miss Carrie Kienzle. The notice
of the funeral appears in this paper.

Leonard R. Kienzle
Leonard R. Kienzle, 85, of Hopewell Township [New Jersey], died Monday, April 18, 2005, at his
late residence. He had been in failing health for the past 2 years.
The husband of the late Naomi Thomas Kienzle, he was born in Bridgeton and was the son of
the late Edward F. and Christina Renne Kienzle. He had been a resident of Hopewell Township
for the past 54 years and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton.
Retired since 1979, he had been employed as a carrier with the U. S. Postal Services for 36
years. He had also worked in the Bridgeton area as a handyman, doing yard maintenance.
Previously he had worked for Bond Bakery Co. and after his retirement he was a maintenance
worker for local Girl Scout Camps.
Leonard was a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene and was a Church Board
member, Sunday School Bookkeeper & Bus Ministries Director. He was a veteran of World War
Two, serving in the U. S. Air Force, serving in the Pacific Theater.
He was a hard worker, dedicated to both his family and church and was an avid ping pong
player, Eagles Fan and enjoyed baseball.
Survivors include: three daughters . . . one son . . . one brother; seven grandchildren and five
great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Kienzle, a son, Leonard
C. Kienzle and two brothers, Charles Kienzle and Edward Frederick Kienzle, Jr.
Rev. Milton Akey will conduct funeral services in the First Church of the Nazarene, West Park
Drive, Hopewell Township, on Saturday morning, April 23, at 11:00 o’clock. Burial will be in
Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. Friends will be received at the church on Saturday morning
between 10:00 and 11:00 o’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Padgett
Funeral Home, Upper Deerfield Township. . . .

ALBERT P. “BUCK” KIENZLE, 83
U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II veteran; postal carrier
Albert P. “Buck” Kienzle, 83, of Hopewell Township [New Jersey] died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008,
at his home surrounded by his family.
A lifetime Bridgeton area resident, he was the son of the late Edward Kienzle and Christine
Renne Kienzle, and the husband of Marion Stanton Kienzle. He had been a Hopewell Township
resident for more than 55 years. Mr. Kienzle was a veteran of World War II, serving with the
U.S. Army Air Corps in Italy and Africa. Before his retirement 23 years ago, he had been
employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Bridgeton and was a rural carrier for many years. An
avid fisherman, he was a member and past commander of American Legion Shoemaker Post 95,
Bridgeton, VFW Meade Woodward Post 1795, Bridgeton, and Deerfield Elks Lodge 733, where
he was a past chaplain.
In addition to his wife . . . , survivors include his son . . . two daughters . . .seven grandchildren .
. . and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Edward and Leonard Kienzle.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Deerfield Presbyterian Church, 530 Old
Deerfield Pike, Upper Deerfield. Burial will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell.
Friends may call at the church between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Monday prior to the services. . . .
