Introduction of Cross-border Free Route Airspace operations between
DK-SE FAB FRA and NEFAB EAST FRA above FL285
Purpose
The purpose of this AIC is to provide information concerning the cross-border Free
Route Airspace (FRA) operations between DK-SE FAB FRA and NEFAB EAST FRA
above FL285.
Introduction
It builds on the previous FRA implementations in the airspace volumes of
DK-SE FAB FRA and NEFAB EAST FRA and represents a further step in optimizing
flight operations in a large volume of airspace and is expected to provide operational,
environmental and cost benefits.
In the Free Route Airspace, Aircraft Operators will be able to flight plan user preferred
trajectories in the applicable area and thereby obtain benefits from planning and
execution of flights. The FRA concept will also increase the compatibility between the
flight plan and the trajectory flown, hence increasing the predictability for a given
flight.
The existing ATS route network will be retained.
Navigation Performance
There will be no change in required navigation performance.
Eligible flights
Eligible flights are those flights having a planned trajectory above FL285 during some
part of the flight in DK/SE FAB FRA, (Koebenhavn FIR and Sweden FIR) or NEFAB
East FRA (Finland FIR, Tallinn FIR and Riga FIR).
Implementation
Implementation is planned for 23rd of June 2016.

Gränsöverskridande Free Route Airspace operationer mellan DK-SE FAB FRA
och NEFAB EAST FRA över FL285
Syfte
Syftet med detta AIC är att informera om möjligheten till gränsöverskridande Free
Route Airspace (FRA) operationer mellan DK-SE FAB FRA och NEFAB EAST FRA
över FL285.
Introduktion
Implementeringen bygger vidare på tidigare FRA implementeringar i luftrumsvolymerna
DK-SE FAB FRA och NEFAB EAST FRA och utgör ytterligare ett steg för att möjliggöra
optimerade flygoperationer i stora luftrumsvolymer vilket förväntas ge operativa,
miljömässiga och ekonomiska vinster.
I dessa luftrumsvolymer kommer luftrumsbrukarna ha möjlighet att färdplanera önskad
färdväg och därigenom dra nytta både i planeringsfasen och i genomförandefasen av
flygningen. FRA konceptet kommer också att en ge en ökad kompabilitet mellan
färdplanen och den flugna färdvägen vilket ger en större förutsägbarhet för varje
enskild flygning.
ATS-routerna kommer att behållas.
Navigationskrav
Inga förändringar till existerande navigationskrav.
Kvalificerade flygningar
Kvalificerade flygningar är de flygningar som har en planerad flygbana över FL285
under någon del av flygningen inom DK/SE FAB FRA, (Koebenhavn FIR och Sweden
FIR) eller NEFAB EAST FRA (Finland FIR, Tallinn FIR och Riga FIR).
Ikraftträdande
Planeras till den 23 juni 2016.
