Our goal at Sacramento Memorial Lawn is to provide thoughtful and efficient service to all whom we are
privileged to serve. Our staff can help by taking care of the many details that must be handled after death
occurs. We will also work to accommodate any special requests that might add meaning or comfort
throughout the services selected and help the family to face the future with renewed strength.
Prior to drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party or decedent’s survivor who is
handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any pre-need agreement in the possession
of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the
decedent.
METHOD OF PAYMENT
Payment for goods and services is expected prior to the services being rendered, unless other arrangements
have been made prior to need. For your added convenience, we accept cash, check, credit card; Visa,
MasterCard, Discover and American Express, a verifiable insurance assignment or financing through a
financial institution.
Although services may be selected from the itemized portion of the General Price List, we have a list of
convenience package services that may help you select the appropriate arrangements. NOTE: The
convenience packages include only the items listed. You may select additional merchandise and services;
however you may not delete or substitute any items from the convenience packages.

The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you
desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal
or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing
on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected.
ITEMIZED SERVICES
BASIC PROFESSIONAL SERVICES OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND STAFF...................$ 1,790.00
This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you
select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials, and forwarding or
receiving remains.)
It is the basic fee we charge every family we serve for our professional expertise in assisting them. It
includes, but is not limited to, a proportionate share of the taxes, licenses, utilities and business expenses
necessary to serve the public in a professional manner. Personnel are available, 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year, to respond to initial call. Also included in this charge is the consultation with the family, clerical and
administrative service, preparation and filing of necessary permits, consultation with the clergy, cemetery,
crematory or common airline carrier, planning the funeral and placement of obituary notices. There will be an
additional charge for the direction and supervision of each service requested or required

Embalming is a chemical process, which provides temporary preservation of the body and eliminates certain
health hazards. A person licensed by this state must complete this procedure. Except in certain cases,
embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral
arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right
to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or immediate
burial.

INSURANCE ASSIGNMENT PROCESSING CHARGE.....………………………………...4% of Contract Total
All assignments have a 4% processing fee, or a minimum of $100.00 for insurance assignments of $2,500.00
or less, and must first be verified to be in good standing before announcing service arrangements. It
will be for the beneficiary to sign an assignment form and a claimant’s statement. A certified death
certificate and original policy document are required for processing the claim
MERCHANDISE
Sacramento Memorial Lawn offers a variety of caskets, urns and alternative containers from which
to select. Caskets many times appear similar although they may differ greatly in quality and
construction. The following is offered to better enable you to make an informed decision.
Protective Caskets: These caskets are designed by the manufacturer to resist the entrance of air,
water and other outside elements. They may be constructed of varying gauges of steel, copper or
bronze. There is no scientific or other evidence that any casket with a sealing device will preserve
human remains.
Non-Protective Caskets: These caskets are not designed by the manufacturer to resist the entrance of
air, water and other outside elements. They may be constructed of metal, hardwood or woodproduct covered with fabric. A complete list will be provided at the funeral home.
Disclaimer of Warranty: The only warranty of the casket or any merchandise sold in connection
with this service is the express written warranty, if any, granted by the manufacturer. This funeral
home makes no warranty, express or implied, including an implied warranty of merchantability
and implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, with respect to the casket.
If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative
containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials
(with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are alternative containers and
other cremation containers, including containers made of fiberboard, and containers made of other
composition materials. We also offer a selection of cremation oriented caskets.
