Edward F. Bayne Jr.
Bayne, Edward F., Jr., age 80, of Fort Lauderdale died
December 15th at Imperial Point Hospital after a short
battle with kidney and heart complications. Mr. Bayne
was born in 1928 in Washington, DC. He was the oldest
of 7 children. In 1955, after marrying his beautiful wife,
Marie Stickel, he moved to Fort Lauderdale and
continued to work for Bell South for 38 years before
retiring in 1982. He served as an elder in the Christian
Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for 51 years and is
known for his love of preaching the good news to his neighbors and serving
Jehovah faithfully. He will be remembered for his good nature,
forthrightness, integrity, and love of people. He enjoyed diving, traveling
with his wife, and historic and western movies. He is survived by his loving
wife Marie, of whom he was married for 53 years, and three daughters,
Faith, Laura and Annette as well as 6 grandchildren: Joy, Ethan, Samantha,
Tara, Sydnie, and Karol-Ann, and one great grandson, Harlan. He is further
survived by brothers, sisters, and many dear friends. The service will be
held at the Las Olas Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday,
December 20, at 4:30 PM.
