Edgar W. Houde
Edgar W. Houde, Jr.,
74, of Cape Neddick, Maine,
died on Thursday, April 1, 2010.
He was born August 4, 1935 in
Nashua, NH, a son of the late Edgar W. and Mary (Aponovitch)
Houde. He graduated from
Nashua High School and Saint
Anselm College and served in
the United States Army. Edgar
worked at Saint Anselm College
as the assistant food service director for 35 years. As an avid
outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, boating and golf. He was a
good-hearted man and a good
friend, who will be remembered for his smile and sense of
humor. He leaves his wife of 39
years, Anna M. (Lavoie) Houde;
a sister, Florence Elizabeth
Houde of Nashua; sisters-inlaw, Representative Charlotte
Houde Quimby and her husband Tony of Meriden, NH and
Diane Lavoie of Nashua; brothers-in-law, Robert Lavoie and
his wife D.J. of New London,
NH and David Lavoie and his
wife Pat of Westford, MA and
an aunt, Emma L. Aponovitch
of Newport, RI. He also leaves
6 nieces and nephews, Robert J.
Houde and his wife Sue of Centreville, VA, Dr. John P. Houde
and his wife Jennifer of Meriden, NH, David E. Houde of Los
Angeles, CA, Judith A. Houde
Hardy and her husband Greg,
Mary Beth Houde and her
partner Terri and Senator Matthew S. Houde, all of Meriden,
NH, as well as numerous grand
nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his
parents and a brother, Robert
J. Houde. A memorial service
will be held on Saturday, June
26, at 10:00am at Saint Anselm
College Chapel in Manchester,
NH. Relatives and friends are

Benjamin F. Devoid,
Sr., 80, resident of Milford,
NH died May 25, 2010 at the
Community Hospice House,
Merrimack, NH.
He was born in Berlin, NH on
July 22, 1929, a son of the late Edward and Bessie (Douse) Devoid.
Mr. Devoid was raised and
educated in Berlin, NH and graduated from Berlin High School.
He had lived in the New England
Area for most of his life.
He retired from Exxon Mobil
in 1982, as a Senior Representative Dealer. Mr. Devoid was
a U.S. Army veteran having
served during the Korean War.
He enjoyed camping with
family and friends. He was
a loving husband, a devoted
father, grandfather and greatgrandfather.
Family members include his
loving wife of 42 years, Norma
(Morin) Devoid of Milford, NH;
three sons and two daughters-in
law, Stephen and Judith Devoid
of Plymouth, NH, David Devoid
of Townsend, MA, Reverend

Donald L. Shore
AMHERST – Donald L.
“Donaldo” Shore, 76, resident of
Amherst, NH, died May
26, 2010 at St. Joseph’s
Hospital, Nashua, NH.
He was born in Brockton, MA on July 29, 1933,
a son of the late Herbert
and Helen (Marston)
Shore.
Mr. Shore resided in
Amherst for the past
25 years and formerly
lived in West Haven, CT for
many years.
He had been employed for
Norden Systems, Norwalk, CT
and retired in 1995 as a contract
manager.
Mr. Shore was former president of West Haven Little
League, original board member
of the West Haven Youth Hockey and a member of the West
Haven Jaycees. Following his
retirement, he volunteered for
SCORE and the Share Program
in Milford, NH.
His favorite times were spent
with family and friends telling
stories and jokes. He enjoyed
playing bridge, golfing, tennis
and sailing. He loved life, traveling with his wife, Sandy. He
will be sorely missed by many
and is gone much too soon.
Mr. Shore was a U.S. Marine
Corps veteran and served on
the front lines in Korea.
He was predeceased by his
daughter,
Stephanie
Dawn Shore and a stepson, Gregory Campbell.
Family members include his wife, Sandra
(Fontanella) Shore of
Amherst, NH; two sons
and daughter-in-law, Michael Shore and Joann
Wilson of San Francisco, CA, David and
Roseann Shore of West Haven,
CT; a stepson, Thomas Campbell of TX; three grandchildren,

Meriden, CT; two brothers-inlaw, Gene Fontanella of Wallingford, CT and David Webster

and nephews.

Diane P. (Goguen) Savoie; 62,
of Nashua, NH passed away on
Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at the
Merrimack
Community Hospice House in
Merrimack, NH.
She was born in Moncton, New Brunswick
on September 5, 1947,
the daughter of the late
Albert and Anna (Boudreau) Goguen.
Diane has been a
Nashua resident for 26
years, previously residing in
Waltham, Ma. She is a communicant of St. Joseph the Worker
Parish in Nashua. Diane was
employed for many years as a
Real Estate Agent for various
companies throughout her career, including Caldwell Banker, Foster & Foster, ERA Drivic,
and Dewolfe N.E. She was very
successful in the real estate
business, receiving several
Real Estate Awards. She loved
to drive and was proud to spend
a year driving tractor trailers. Most recently she worked
as a sales clerk for JC Penney.
Diane enjoyed playing bingo
with her niece, traveling, especially to Canada to visit with
her family, and eating seafood.
Her greatest love was spending
time with her family, especially
her granddaughter, Mia Mary,
and her pseudo granddaughter
Amanda.
In addition to her parents, she
is predeceased by three brothers, Raymond Goguen, Alcide
Goguen, and Camille Goguen,
and a sister, Jeanita Gagnon.
Diane is survived by her loving husband, Ivan J. Savoie of
Nashua; a son, Michael Savoie
and his wife Julie of
Londonderry, NH; a

Leo N. Geoffroy 74, of Nashua,

May 23, 2010, at the Catholic
Medical Center, in Manchester,

Mr. Frazer was born in Baltimore, MD, June 27, 1918, the
son of the late John F. and Eva
R. (Allen) Frazer, II. Mr. Frazer
was a resident of Manchester/
Bedford area since 2002. Prior
to this, he lived in Lexington,
MA for 48 years. Mr. Frazer
was a graduate of Princeton
University, with a Bachelor of
Engineering degree.
He was a lieutenant in the
United States Army, and served
during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, Mr.
Frazer was employed as an
electrical engineer and worked
for Panametrics.
He enjoyed gardening, doing
crossword puzzles, and playing
the piano. Mr. Frazer was a licensed Ham Radio Operator.
