Born July 24, 1967 in Somerset, Ky., she was the daughter of Susan Ellen Taylor Clark, London, and the late William Ray Clark. She was a homemaker and member of Level Green Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Edward Clark. Survivors include her mother, two daughters, Kayla L. James “PaPaw” Hatcher Sr. World War II veteran James “PaPaw” Hatcher Sr., 85, Danville, Ind., passed away Friday, April 27, 2012, at his home. He was born March 2, 1927 in London, Ky., the son of the late John and Angeline Chesnut Hatcher. He married Elinor Dowd in 1950 in London. He was a 1945 graduate of Lizton High School. He was a farmer, self-employed truck driver, a farm equipment mechanic for A.H. Stanley Farm Implements for 20 years, a welder at Electric Steel and Castings in Speedway, Ind., for 10 years, and a material handler at R.R. Donnelley in Crawfordsville, Ind., where he retired. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of the Danville American Legion Post No. 118, the Rockville VFW Post No. 1752, and the Rockville AmVets No. 61. Survivors include his wife; his children, Sue (Kenny) Ottinger, Jean (Charlie) Thurnall, all of New Winchester, Ind., Kathy (Dan) Wethington, Ladoga, Ind., Jim (Jenny) Hatcher Jr., New Winchester, Ind., and Mari (Mike) Clark, Danville, Ind.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Herman Hatcher; and a sister, Sylvia Harrell, both of Indianapolis, Ind. She was born in Keavy, Ky., on May 2, 1917, as the youngest child to John and Sally Ann Karr Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Raymond Helton; a son, Herschel Helton; a daughter, Wanda Smith; two grandsons, Travis Cornett and Jason Lang; four sisters, Bertha Vaughn, Mae Hart, Susie Ellison, and Elva Bunch; and three brothers, Coy Hill, Roy Hill and Addison Hill. Ingrid Brewster, 63, of Hanahan, S.C. widow of David Carl Brewster died Saturday, April 28, 2012, in a local hospital. Born July 17, 1948 in Perth Amboy, N.J. she was one of two children of Irving Nielsen and Aina Headvall Nielsen. She was a graduate of Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing in Perth Amboy, N.J. and a Hospice nurse for Odyssey. She was the owner of Palmetto Travel Medicine LLC and a member of VASA Order of America. Mrs. Brewster was a lover of the water, sailing, gardening, enjoyed nature, was a Girl Scout leader and youth leader at her former churches in Morehead and London, Ky. Mrs. Brewster is survived by her sister, Linda “Lynn” Oliver and her husband, Richard-Kerr of Hanahan, S.C.; niece, Jessica Shah and her husband, Mayur and their two boys, Marc and Devin all of Summerville, S.C.; sister-in-law: Carol Allen and her husband, Craig of Ironton, Ohio, and their children, Laura Southers and her husband, Mike of Hebron, Ky., and Kathryn Schueren and her husband, Mike of Crawfordsville, Ind.; sister-in-law Joan Thomas and her husband, Joe of Durham, N.C., and their children, Heather Lieb and her husband, Kevin of Rochester, N.Y., Sharon Thomas of Arlington, Va., and David Thomas and his wife Kelly of Lakewood, Colo; and her dog Becky.
