Events in our Community
E
ach year, more than 400 groups in the Washington, DC community
host special events that help us transform pediatric medicine so children
can flourish. Each and every one of these events are vital to the hospital,
because we rely on the money that our friends in the community raise for
us through events.
Great fundraisers can be organized by people
of all ages! Some of our most successful events
have been organized by kids through their
schools, clubs, and sports teams. Almost
anything can be turned into a fun way to raise
money for Children’s!
The success of your special event is important to you and your community.
Experience has taught us that events succeed because of the effort and
commitment of their planners. To ensure your success, our professional staff
is prepared to advise you through your planning process, from recommending
ideas for events to providing advice on how to manage logistics.
We hope the information on the following pages is helpful as you plan
your fundraising event.
