Dear St Thomas Aquinas Families,
This Sunday is Mothers Day – a day when we honour all our mothers,
grandmothers and mother figures who bless and enrich our lives. We
acknowledge them with love and praise for their nurturing guidance
and wisdom. It is a day to cherish the invaluable and sacred role they
play from childhood through to adulthood.
On Thursday this week the school was able to host a Mothers Day stall
for students. During the day children from each class were able to
purchase a small item for Mothers Day. Items included plants, craft
items created by our mothers group and other gifts.
My sincere gratitude to the following parents/carers who so generously
organised and helped out during the day – Moya Dyer, Bess Bauerhuit,
Sonya Fowler, Joan Williams, Suzanna Okladnikov, Kirsty Szmytka, Maree Reichel, Carolyn Edwards,
Kerri Jones, Gaylene Mazuek, Ann Ward and Alison Edwards.
A special note of thanks to OASIS Nursery P/L for kindly donating potted annuals for sale. The
proceeds of the stall ($1291.70) will be used to purchase new books for the school library including
books specifically related to mothers.
Wishing Mothers, Grandparents & Mother figures a blessed Mothers Day!

Kindergarten 2011 Enrolment
Enrolments for Kindergarten 2011 are now well and truly open. The month of May is traditionally
when the majority of enrolments are processed. Enrolment enquiries for Kindergarten next year are
extremely healthy. Whilst enrolment numbers are still by no means finalised, it appears based on
current interest that we will able to form 3 Kindergarten classes next year.
I would strongly encourage families to return enrolment forms by 28 May. Offers of places will be
made during June. Please advise family and friends of this information. Enrolment packs are
available from the school office.

Many jumpers have been left behind due to the changeable weather. Please remember to mark your
