Katy was recently ranked number one on
Gadberry’s list of the most dynamic, high-growth,
suburban areas in the United States. Katy added
17,641 new households since 2000, including an
8.7% increase from 2009 to 2010. The average
household income in Katy has risen more than 21
percent since 2000 to end the decade at $85,810.
Katy made Gadberry’s top 25 list in 2008 and was
