Her background is in Business Administration with a special interest in grassroots organizations and efforts. Proudly Presents Tammy O’Hollearn – Tammy has been the Early 9th Annual Hearing Detection and Intervention Coordinator for the Iowa Department of Public Health for the last eight years and employed with the State of Iowa for the last 17 years. She has significant experience in project management, quality assurance and program development. In 2009, Tammy was recognized by the Iowa Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA) for her outstanding service. Promoting n e r d l i h C y h t l a He Conference Debra Holwegner – Deb is the Camp Director for Camp Hertko Hollow, Iowa’s camp for children with diabetes. Her passion for diabetes camping was developed through her daughter, Jenna, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 4 and is now 16. As Camp Director, Deb enjoys working with the families and staff, helping to develop new education programs and enhance the overall environment at camp for kids with diabetes. Gladys Noll Alvarez – Gladys is the Trauma Informed Care Project Coordinator at Orchard Place/ Child Guidance Center through which she has closely collaborated with the National Child Traumatic Stress Network. Ms. Alvarez provides leadership across multiple professional organizations. She has received many awards over her career and in 2011 earned the honor of the Michele A. Moore Award of Distinction for her work in child advocacy.
