Skill Acquisition Program 2015/16 Overview In 2015/16 the Skill Acquisition Program is to be continued in line with the Skill Acquisition Phase of a players development. The 2015/16 SAP unites the FFA National Curriculum that is consistent with national objectives, and providing players a clear development pathway. The 2015/16 SAP is the official FFT development program for players U9 to U12. The 2015/16 SAP will incorporate the fundamental principles of the FFA National Curriculum and including; match format at FFT SAP Festivals (8v8 U9/10/11/12’s), training loads, match loads, program duration and field dimensions. The program has been developing to underpin the FFT “High performance” programs for boys and girls, plus Victory League Clubs. The following paper details the vision, structure and application process for the 2015/16 SAP as endorsed by the FFT Board. SAP VISION STATEMENT “FFT will provide youth players an opportunity to experience an enhanced football environment, above that provided in community football that will prepare them for the technical and tactical challenges of FFT High performance Programs and Competitions” SAP APPLICATION PROCESS FFT will provide application documents to all eligible stakeholders entitled to apply for a license. The application documents will be consistent with the two (2) part process implemented for the 2015/16 Program, including: ·Part 1 Register of Interest (Part 1); ·Part 2 Licence Agreement (Part 2). Eligible Clubs / Associations Eligible Clubs / Associations The following we’re the clubs / associations eligible to apply to conduct a SAP: FFT 2015/16 Victory League Clubs; FFT SPL Clubs; FFT NPL Clubs Consolidation of programs we’re considered by FFT in determining the number and locations in which they are conducted. For Example Cradle Coast SAP (in partnership with Strikers SAP) SAP LOCATIONS+COST For 2015/16 FFT approved at least 9 individual SAP programs. (2 Year Licence) As part of the 2015/2016 Licence agreements each SAP Licensee agrees to pay a fee of $500(plus GST) per annum to cover FFT administration costs. AGE GRADES SAP will cater for the following age groups in 2015/16: U9 (for player born on or after 1 January 2006); U10 (for players born on or after 1 January 2005); U11 (for players born on or after 1 January 2004); U12 (for players born on or after 2003) Consideration will be given to Relative Age Effect (i.e. players born in the last 3 months of the year) to play “down” OR “up” and age group in FFT Festivals. Decisions on RAE will be made in collaboration by the FFT State Technical Director and Club Technical Director. NUMBERS OF PLAYERS For the 2015/16 SAP Program will not be limited on numbers. The mandatory requirement will be a maximum of twelve (12) players per one (1) coach. [Type the document title] 4 ANNUAL SCHEDULE The 2015/16 SAP program will comprise of four (4) cycles. These will be broken into four (4) components; • • • • Week 1-4 Training twice per week on the four core skills Week 5 WEEK OFF to allow for mandatory SAP coaches workshops Week 6-9 Training twice per week on the four core skills Week 10 FFT SAP Festival The skill training phase for the 2015/16 SAP will be set during the following period. Commencement: 2nd February 2015 Conclusion: 13th December 2015 During this period, licensees must deliver training based activities in accordance with the FFA National Curriculum and any policy communicated by FFT. Licensees will be permitted to coordinate their own friendly matches with Clubs affiliated to FFT during the training phase within their periodisation model. Without consent of FFT Technical Director, Clubs with SAP Licenses are not to enter SAP players within their SAP programs into any regional carnivals, as the SAP Festivals are their opportunity for talent ID. SUMMARY Following the success of the 2014 SAP program, the 2015/16 SAP aims to raise the bar and deliver an enhanced football development opportunity to the States talented youth players. Providing them the platform and foundation to realise their dreams of becoming professional footballers. FFT believes that clubs, best deliver this foundation with FFT “coaching the coaches” and monitoring program delivery, ensuring the core principles of the FFA National Curriculum are maintained.
