TROJAN THURSDAY 11/20/14 Fall Sports Let’s take a look at how our teams are doing Girls Tennis – PCL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS! CIF Division 1 Runner Up Our girls tennis team ran into a superb Peninsula team last Friday at the CIF championships. Our girls put up a great fight but ended the day as the CIF Division 1 Runner Up. What a great accomplishment for our girls. Despite the loss, our girls were selected to play in the state tournament and were awarded the overall #3 seed. Our girls cruised through their first round match on Tuesday winning 7-0. Tomorrow our girls will play in the quarterfinals and if they win the semifinals are right after. The finals would be on Saturday. Good Luck girls and congratulations on another outstanding year. Winter Sports We are currently in transition from the fall season to the winter season. All of our winter sports are practicing hard for their season openers. Most sports will play their first games the first week of December. There will be no Trojan Thursday next week but we will be back with updates on our winter teams on December 4th. Boys Basketball – Tonight is the annual scrimmage for our boys basketball program. Our freshman team will kick things off at 5:00. At 6:00 the JV team will take on a team of UNI staff members. At 7:00 you will get to see your first look at our UNI varsity team as they compete in their scrimmage. Come out and support our basketball teams and our UNI staff team. The staff members playing tonight include Beau Budde, Dominic Fratantaro, Tom Shrake, John Pehrson, Josh Davis, Kevin McCaffrey, Corey Heddon, and Michael Georgino.
