We would like to start something new with Trojan Thursday. Please send Coach McCaffrey
([email protected]) pictures of yourself in Trojan Army shirts in special places throughout
the nation/world. When you travel on vacation snap a picture of yourself or group wearing your
Trojan Army shirt and send it to us. Please let us know who is in the picture and where you are. As
we get pictures we will share them at the bottom of Trojan Thursday. This is just another way to
spread Trojan Spirit. Thank you for wearing the colors and sharing UNIVERSITY PRIDE!
Fall Sports
Let’s take a look at how our teams are doing
Boys and Girls Cross Country– Last Saturday the Cross Country team participated in the Orange County
Cross County Championships at Irvine Park. We did our best to field a team on both the boys and girls
side due to half the team out for PSAT testing. On the girls side our top finisher was Senior Sarah Stern
who finished 7th overall in her race followed by Sophomore Janine Bryant and Senior Cheryl McElwee.
For the boys our top finishers were Sophomore Elliot Walker and Senior Tanner Schiedow. Next up will
be our league cluster meet at Mason Park and the Game Of The Week next Thursday. Go Trojan Running!
Football – The football team ran into a tough Beckman team last Friday night. We ended up dropping the
game by a score of 40-10. Sophomore Sam Winder led our rushing attack by piling up 73 rushing yards.
Allahason Jenkins gave the Trojans a spark early in the 3rd quarter as he caught a short pass and scattered
66 yards for a Touchdown. Nick Loveland capped off our scoring by kicking a 28 yard Field Goal in the 4th
quarter. We would like to thank everyone who came out to the game last Friday. The homecoming
atmosphere was amazing. Our Trojans will travel to Newport Harbor HS tomorrow to take on CDM. Good

Girls Golf – Our girls beat Irvine last week to finish league play with an overall league record of 8-2. That
mark secured second place in league. Mina Rhee (Jr) shot a 78, tied for 3rd after day 1 of league prelims
and Samantha Cabunag (Fr) & Susan Lee (Jr) shot 79. These girls are currently on the course competing
in league finals. They are competing for 7 individual CIF spots. Good Luck today Girls!
Girls Volleyball – The Trojan Army came out in large numbers to Pink Out the gym for our girls
Volleyball GOW on Tuesday. The fans in their Pink Trojan Army shirts were treated to an exciting 5 game
match. Our girls came up just short of pulling the great upset of Woodbridge. Thank you to everyone who
came out to watch this match and for supplying so much energy for our girls. Our girls look to build off of
this great performance this afternoon as they travel to Beckman for a 5:15 match. Go Trojan Volleyball.
Girls Tennis –
PCL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
Congratulation to our Girls Tennis team for winning their 50th straight Pacific Coast league match on
Tuesday v CDM who is the #3 ranked team in Orange County. Winning 50 straight in arguably the
toughest tennis league in the country is absolutely amazing. Not only was this our 50th straight league
win but the win also secured another PCL League Championship. This is our 5th straight league
Championship. Congratulations Girls. Our girls look to stay perfect in league and capture their 51st
straight win in league this afternoon as they travel to Northwood for a 3:15 match.

Boys Water Polo – Our boys dropped an exciting match v Woodbridge on Tuesday by a final of 8-5. This
afternoon our boys travel to Beckman for a 4:15 match. Good Luck Water Polo!
