Pastor’s
Perspective
Winter crept in like a lion
this past weekend but it
didn’t keep us from feeling the warm
move of God’s Spirit in our service. We
baptized 10 adults, students, and children this past Sunday. The children had
all recently completed an eight-week
New Christian’s Class and a couple
came to join our church by statement
and their daughter will be baptized next
weekend. We welcome Josh & Rachelle
Bradford and their daughter, Jade. We
also welcome David & Jamie Clinton
who were baptized Sunday morning and
became a part of our church family.
Over the past four weeks, God has
brought over 1,250 people from our
community through our ministries including Trunk or Treat, Open Wide
Dental Clinic, Whiz Kids, and Fresh
Food Mobile Market. God is at work and
we must continue to join Him where He
is at work. Our vision is to Connect our
Community to Christ!
We are working and planning for
2015 as our Budget/Finance Team
begins to prepare a budget for our ministries for 2015. We’ll be presenting and
voting on our budget in December.
The next Dental Clinic is Saturday,
Nov. 22 from 9 am to 2 pm and we’ll be
seeing people on a first-come, first-serve
basis and should be able to treat around
35. Fresh Food Mobile Market is Tues.
Dec. 2 starting at 9 am.
Remember, let’s not just “do” church
let’s “be” the church as we connect our
community to Christ. I Love You!
OPEN WIDE DENTAL CLINIC
Saturday, Nov. 22nd & Dec. 13th
9:00 am to 2:00 pm
volunteers need to be ready by 8;15
Teach me Your way LORD and I will live by Your truth. Psalm 86:11
From My Heart to Yours
The Christmas Season is the perfect time to focus
on helping Children become more mission minded. Below are a few tips to get the conversation
started.
First, we need to be mission-minded ourselves.
Do we have concern for the lost or reaching even
people that we come in contact with? When we
are passionate about missions, kids will be passionate about missions as well.
Second, get your kids involved in our missions
programs. Help them learn about how missions
works. Let them be a part of giving to missions.
You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how excited kids
get when they are saving money for others.
Third, pray as a family that God would open the
door for many opportunities to share the gospel
with those who do not know Him. Actively pray for
people you know and for those you do not know
yet. Engage your children in these prayers and
before you know it, God will ignite in them a heart
for the lost and those in need.
All in all…..the more we help children see more
than just “their world” and open their eyes to
another world out there, it will cultivate a love for
missions and for a world that needs to know God.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them,
Go ye into all the world, and preach
the gospel to every creature.
