Corporate Membership
1. Is a business that wants to enjoy the social aspect
of the Kelowna Yacht Club.
2. Shall not be entitled to hold office or vote at any
annual general meeting or extra-ordinary general
meeting of the Society, however may attend as an
observer with no stated opinion.
3. They shall be entitled to all Clubhouse privileges.
4. Will be eligible to hold moorage (maximum one
slip).
5. Shall be established within eighty (80) kilometer
radius of the corporate boundaries of the City of
Kelowna.
6. Shall pay an initiation fee.
7. May have up to three (3) designees as the named
members to use the Clubhouse facilities and have
signing rights. Designees shall be personally
liable for any and all charges he or she incurs, in
the event that the corporate member does not pay
for these within 30 days of their being incurred.
8. One of the designees is to be classified as the
primary member.
9. The primary member can only be changed with
a written notification from the business entity on
the corporate member’s business letterhead,
such notice to include the signature of the
previous and new primary designates.
10. All Club communication shall be with the
primary designate.
11. The primary designate shall be responsible and
accountable for the actions of the corporate
designees and their guests.
12. A minimum house account will apply.
13. Shall be responsible for all other dues and fees
as a regular member would be.
14. may have spousal privileges, however spouses
do not have signing authority on the corporate
MHA account
15. Should a Corporate Member designee want to
upgrade to Regular Member status they would
pay the then current initiation fee and fulfill all
other obligations as may be required, subject to
waitlist requirements.

All applications for membership shall be proposed and seconded by two (2) Society members in good standing,
and shall be accompanied by the prescribed non-refundable deposit. The Board shall then consider such
applications for membership at its next regularly scheduled meeting and the decision of the Board shall be final
and binding. The Board shall not be bound to provide the reasons for refusing membership; however, it may do
so at its own discretion.
