men struggling with pornography and sexual purity.
THE LEGACY JOURNEY (Coed) - learn a
biblical framework for living now so that later
you will leave a legacy and make a lasting
impact on the world around you.
WORLDREACH BIBLE INSTITUTE
CLASSES
New classes begin Sunday, January 11th, and Wednesday, January 14th. The following
classes will be taught at PABC this semester:
 Bible Study Methods and Rules of Interpretation (Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 7:00 pm)
 Old Testament Survey (Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 7:00 pm)
 Bible Doctrine Survey (Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 7:45 pm)
Here’s how to register! – Visit www.pabc.org and click the “Events” tab at the top right
corner. You may then register for the courses offered, and pay for the course there as
well. Registration is $70 through December 31st. Beginning January 1st, registration is $85.
The Registration fee includes all course material, including a new hardback ESV Study Bible
for those taking an Institute class for the first time.

experience, ability to write puppet scripts and teach others how to use

from all the hustle and bustle of
the season and quietly reflect upon
the One we honor and celebrate!
Join us for the Christmas Eve
Silent Lord’s Supper on
Wednesday, December 24th,
at 6:00 pm. The service will
feature a string quartet
accompanied by piano, playing
music reminding us of Christ’s
birth, death, and resurrection.
Childcare will be provided for
children through 4 years old.

AWANA - CHRISTMAS BREAK
There will be no Awana on December 24th or 31st. Have a very Merry Christmas and we
will see you again on January 7th!
TODAY, December 21st at 3:00 pm, join together with other Prince
Avenue Baptist Church ministries for a special time of Christmas caroling
at the Hispanic Ministry Center located at Kathwood Apartments, 500
Kathwood Drive in Athens. Because of the different language needs at
Kathwood, carols will be sung in both English and Spanish. Song words
will be provided, but we ask that you bring pre-wrapped candy for the kids
of the apartment complex. A short gospel presentation will be given after
caroling. This is a family event, so bring the children!
Even if you think you cannot sing, we encourage you to come and minister to the
families of Kathwood. What better way to prepare your hearts for Christmas Day than to

The family worship experience is a core value of Prince Avenue Baptist Church. That’s
why we periodically take a break from our regular Sunday morning programming to allow
families to worship together in “Big Church.” We will be having Family Worship
Sunday next week, December 28th. There will be no 252 Basics programming and
we encourage our families to worship together at the 10:30 am service.

Even if you were not part of this study in the fall, you
can join us! Each week the study gives an overview of

Next Sunday, December 28th, there will be no Sunday school
classes. Instead, we will meet together in the Worship Center at
9:15 am for the showing of “Our Obligation to the Unreached”, a
video by Dr. David Platt, President of the International Mission
Board. This special video showing will be for all ages from Middle
School through Senior Adults. Preschool and Children’s Ministry will
have their regular 9:15 programming.
A Reminder About Year-End Giving . . .
Year-end gifts to Prince Avenue Baptist Church and its ministries must be
received on or before December 31st in order to qualify as a tax-deductible
gift for the current tax year. If you are unable to give your tithes and
offerings during a regular worship service, gifts may be delivered to our
office through Tuesday, December 30th. Please note that our office will be closed Wednesday, December 31st. The Church Office will also be closed December 24-25.
Additionally, you may choose to mail your contributions to the church. Please remember that
all gifts received in the mail must be postmarked (not just the date of the check) on or before
December 31st in order to qualify as a tax-deductible gift for 2014.
If you choose to give through our online feature on the church website (www.pabc.org) the
ACH or debit/credit card transaction must be completed and transferred to the church checking account in 2014. (Please note that some banks may take several days to complete the
transaction once you have entered it into the system).
If you have any questions regarding your giving, please call the Church Business Office
during regular office hours.
