Centurion Vision Plus Hard Hat
This safety helmet includes a fully retractable visor, Terylene cradle and the
Hydro-Flock high absorbency sweatband. The unique design of the vision visor
allows prescription glasses to be worn underneath the visor, due to the
large space between the visor and the face.
The Vision Plus offers the same protection features as the well established
Vision helmet but now features a new moulded visor with additional benefits
Safety Helmets
A safety helmet is required in any location where there
is a residual risk of a head injury from being struck by
falling objects, or where protection from a penetration
injury is required.
Bump Caps
Bump caps do not offer sufficient protection from falling
objects, and as such must never be used where the
above residual risks remain.
Shelf Life
In order to comply with the necessary European
Standards (see Below),all safety helmets are stamped
with either the quarter or month, and the year that they
were manufactured.
If the helmets are stored in the boxed they were
delivered in and not exposed to extremes of
environment, then the shelf life of the helmet is not
limited. What is important to remember, however, is
that manufacturers recommend that the helmet must
not be in use 5 years after the date of manufacture.
Care and Maintenance
If required, a helmet may be cleaned with soap and
water and dried with a soft cloth. Never use abrasive
substances or solvents, and never store a helmet in
direct sunlight, or where it may come.

Into contact with chemicals
Operatives that wear safety helmets should inspect
them regularly, and if the shell has anything more than
superficial abrasions or scuffing, it must be replaced
with a new one.
European Standards
The helmets are approved to EN:397, which covers
its performance standard for the following items:
- Shock absorption
- Resistance to penetration
- Flame retardant
- Chinstrap anchorage
European Standard Markings
440v a.c. and 1000v a.c.
The helmet will protect against short term, accidental
contact with live electrical conductors up to this voltage.
LD (Lateral Deformation)
The helmet will afford a modicum of protection from
lateral compressive loads.
MM (Molten Metal)
The helmet will offer a degree of protection against
molten metal.
